“1. Sonny goes against Bree’s rules”
Sonny treads carefully around Bree as she makes him promise not to tell Remi about her plans.
Although he agrees, Sonny later breaks his promise by telling Remi that Bree has resumed working at the hospital.
Encouraged by Sonny, Remi texts Bree to ask if they can talk, and she agrees to meet and hear him out.
Remi pleads with Bree to forgive him.
Remi appeals to Bree’s mercy as he attempts to justify how he ended up in bed with Avalon.
He admits that Avalon made him feel seen in a way that gave him a sense of worth, but the confession cuts Bree deeply.
Still, Remi persists in asking for her forgiveness, vowing to dedicate the rest of his life to making amends.
Mac learns that she was conceived through IVF.
After ongoing struggles to conceive, Levi decides it’s time to have his fertility tested. Following a tense wait, his results come back clear, just as Mac’s had.
The pair choose to call their parents to ask if they’d faced any challenges having children.
Levi learns there were no issues on his side, but Mac is stunned to discover she was conceived via IVF.
Roo takes a decision that will change her life.
While Cohen is in the hospital with a severe bout of tonsillitis, Roo berates herself for not stepping in earlier.
Alf reassures his daughter and promises to watch over Cohen so she can go home and rest. When Roo returns, she tells Alf she’s made the choice to apply to adopt Cohen.
Roo’s decision also prompts Bree to think about giving Remi another chance.
Alf worries about Roo.
David shares news with Roo, telling her that Cohen’s mother has been sentenced to 12 months in prison.
Later, Roo visits Cash to learn about his own experience growing up in the foster care system. He urges her to think long and hard before making any big decisions.
Alf, too, is uneasy about Roo’s plan to adopt Cohen, worried she might end up heartbroken once more.
David delivers shocking news to Lacey.
David arrives at Salt with a suitcase, revealing to Lacey that he’s sold their family home. With Theo’s support, Lacey sorts through the treasured keepsakes from her childhood.
Later, she meets with David to find out why he chose to part with a place filled with such special memories.
David begins to break through to Lacey, but bringing up Jo sends them right back to square one.
John shares Irene’s secret with Justin.
John urges Irene to begin telling her family and friends about her diagnosis, but she isn’t ready.
Justin grows concerned that something serious is going on after overhearing an argument between John and Irene. Unable to keep it from him, John confides in Justin and makes him promise to keep it quiet.
Meanwhile, an emotional Irene writes names on the backs of all her photos to help her remember who everyone is.
Dana encourages Harper to move on.
Jo is having a hard time coping with the loss of her childhood home and opens up to Dana over drinks.
When the conversation shifts to men, Jo reveals she recently went on a date with someone who has a child. She doesn’t give a name, but Dana realises it’s Tane.
Dana later visits Harper, encouraging her to let her sister move forward and allow Tane to get on with his life.
Jo turns Tane down.
Harper and Tane have a frank conversation about him seeing other people, and she apologises for interfering.
Later, Harper meets Jo at the Diner and lets her know that Tane is single and free to make his own choices.
However, when Tane approaches Jo afterwards, she declines, saying the situation is just too complicated.
Irene confides the truth to Leah.
Leah shows up at Irene’s, eager to find out what’s wrong, but is met with anger as Irene throws her out.
The following evening, Leah gets a message from Irene saying she’s ready to talk.
Leah assures her that they’ll face whatever it is together, but she’s blindsided when Irene reveals she has Alzheimer’s.
Remi rushes things.
Bree visits Remi and reluctantly confesses that she misses him.
The former couple go to Salt for a drink, where Bree says there’s a possibility they could work things out—but only on her terms.
Later, Remi missteps by leaning in for a kiss, prompting Bree to warn him that she’s not ready for that yet.
Irene resigns from the Diner.
Leah struggles to process the heartbreaking news about Irene’s health.
When Irene returns to work at the Diner, the strain and emotion lead her to drop a plate on the floor.
Although Leah urges her to go easier on herself, Irene has already decided—it’s time to step away from the Diner, effective immediately.
