Home and Away Spoilers – Mac hatches a plan as Logan prioritises Neve

Mackenzie makes a brave move in the aftermath of Logan’s ex showing up in the bay next week on Home and Away in the UK.

Mackenzie Booth’s (Emily Weir) life was going to be ripped apart this time last year. Mac was dating Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams) at the time, but the entrance of past love Mia Anderson (Anna Samson) strained their relationship.

Mac was devastated when Ari finally decided that Mia was the woman he wanted to be with, especially since she’d just found out she was pregnant with Ari’s child.

When Mac was faced with the difficult decision of whether or not to keep the baby, which was made even more difficult when Ari was put in a coma after a hit-and-run, she had only just decided to go ahead with the pregnancy when she tragically miscarried.

Mac took a long time to come to terms with everything she’d lost after being thrown into a deep depression.

Following the arrival of Logan’s ex-girlfriend Neve Spicer (Sophie Bloom), now in a relationship with Dr. Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner), it appears that history may be ready to repeat itself!

Logan went to the park to meet up with Neve after getting a suspicious text message last week. He had assumed she was dead when she went AWOL two years ago while they were both serving in the army.

Neve made it apparent that she wanted Logan back, kissing him when Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) strolled by.

Later, Dean (Patrick O’Connor) approached Logan, who vowed to inform Mac right away to avoid any misunderstandings. But Neve had made her own way to Salt, and not realizing that Logan had been kidnapped, she wrapped her arms around him in front of Mac before he could explain!

As the story picks up this week, Mac and Logan have a private conversation in the storeroom, during which he informs her about Neve’s background and assures her that she has nothing to be concerned about.

Mac feels otherwise, already feeling that she has a beautiful war hero to compete with.

Meanwhile, Dean figures it’s a good idea to get to know Neve by telling her that the lady she just saw Logan leaving with is actually his girlfriend.

Neve makes a swift exit, followed by Logan, who is mortified by what Dean has told her.

As she sees Logan race away after his ex, Mac asks Dean if she’s right to be concerned, but Dean tells her that Logan is a nice guy. Dean gave Logan the chance to tell the truth about Neve, which he did right away, demonstrating that he can be trusted.

But Mac remains unconvinced, clearly seeing the parallels with what happened with Ari last year.

Logan finally catches up with Neve, who is in a bad way. She’s spent the previous two years feverishly attempting to locate Logan while avoiding the authorities, only to discover that he’s moved on.

Neve decides it’s time for her to move on and tells Logan that she’s no longer his issue. Logan, on the other hand, urges her to stay because he’s still worried she has PTSD from her time in the army, which Neve vehemently denies.

Neve realizes she has no choice but to stay in the bay when Logan threatens to denounce her to the defense force unless she lets him aid her.

Bella (Courtney Miller) notices Mac’s familiar situation and remarks that he seems to have bad luck with ex-girlfriends showing up out of nowhere, however, Mac doesn’t like the insight.

Neve apologizes to Mac, but she’s skeptical when Logan dismisses her to go to his ex-girlfriend.

Later, Mac tells Bella that she needs to stay in control this time, and the opportunity comes the next morning when Logan arrives home with Neve.

When Logan explains that Neve requires his assistance and that he would have to put her up at a local motel, Mac recommends that Neve stays with them!

It’s a matter of keeping her enemy near to her, and having Logan’s ex under her home means he won’t be spending time alone with her in a motel, in Mac’s opinion.

But will Mac’s plan backfire on her?

In other parts of Summer Bay…. Ari’s sentencing date has been set for six weeks, following his fake confession to protect her and Chloe. Mia returns home from the city with the news that Ari’s sentencing date has been set for six weeks (Sam Barrett).

Mia refuses to discuss it with Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) because she is still furious at Ari for not even attempting to assist himself. Ari has refused to allow Mia or Chloe to make any statements regarding Matthew (James Sweeny) in case it puts them under suspicion since he is determined to cover for the real killer, Chloe.

Under Tane’s (Ethan Browne) suggestion, the family has grudgingly agreed to limit contact with those outside the household, including girlfriends, for the time being. However, their secret has made its way to some of their pals.

It all came out when Bella found Chloe crying in the park last week, and Dean picks up on it this week when he tells Mia that he thinks Ari is innocent.

Although Dean isn’t interested in learning the details or determining who is to blame, he wants to be there for Mia as she explains how the situation is tearing their family apart.

He assures her that Ari would only do it for a good purpose, and that Mia must maintain her composure for his sake.

Tane breaches his own rule by going to Felicity’s (Jacqui Purvis) trailer to spend the night with her when Nik discloses that Bella knows.

When Flick queries the secrecy surrounding what happened, Tane replies that there are things she doesn’t know because it’s all over the news. Flick understands and assures him that she will always be there for him.

However, Flick’s brother Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) is convinced that the Paratas are concealing something and inquires whether Tane has said anything to her. Tane denies having any further information of what happened when Cash approaches him and says he’d be pleased for him to add or retract anything from Ari’s confession.

Flick is enraged with Cash and feels compelled to explain to a somber Tane that it was not her fault.

Tane believes in her, but he’s concerned that he won’t be able to keep his family together in the coming weeks….
