Home and Away’s Tane Parata takes action over Nikau after Ari’s confession

Tane Parata of Home and Away steps in with a heartfelt idea to aid his nephew Nikau, which will be on UK television next week.

Tane’s older brother Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) faked a false confession to Matthew Montgomery’s murder in order to protect his fiancée Mia Anderson and her daughter Chloe, which has thrown the Parata family into disarray.

The stress of the situation begins to take its toll on Nikau in upcoming episodes on Channel 5. (Kawakawa Fox-Reo).

Nikau is heartbroken at the prospect of losing Ari permanently, and he continues to oppose the ongoing cover-up behind Matthew’s death.

Nikau considers leaving Summer Bay because he can’t bear the waiting game until Ari’s sentencing.

Tane (Ethan Browne) attempts to persuade Nikau out of it, but Nikau is having horrific flashbacks to the death of his own father.

Tane later tells Mia that he has a plan to help Nikau that will need him to leave the Bay for a while.

Tane brings Nikau out of town for a rite of passage, when he is presented with a family treasure.

Tane hands over a Taiaha – a traditional Mori weapon – that formerly belonged to Nikau’s father at a riverbank camping location.

Tane notes that in Mori culture, the Taiaha technique and knowledge are passed down through generations. In stressful circumstances, the Taiaha can bring spiritual direction.

Despite Nikau’s early troubles with the technique, Tane proved to be a patient instructor.

Even when Nikau is at his wit’s end and doubts his ability, Tane encourages him by doing a demonstration near the water.

Nikau, fortunately, is given the motivation to keep going.

Will the trip have the desired outcome?
