Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) was caught off guard lately when she overheard Tane (Ethan Browne) declare he sees a future with her. She chalks it up to grief over Ari’s (Rob Kipa-Williams) death, but when she questions him about it, he claims his sentiments are genuine.
Felicity, who is getting cold feet, quickly avoids more discussion and seeks out Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) for some brotherly counsel. He, on the other hand, sees no issue because she is in a loving relationship – so why is she fearful of a future with her partner?
After such a difficult background, Felicity admits she is unsure about starting a family of her own. She doesn’t envision herself as a mother, either, but she understands that this would break Tane’s heart because family is so important to him.
Cash understands her point of view, but advises her to have an open and honest discussion with Tane about it. Felicity returns to the Parata mansion with a sad heart, knowing it’s time to perhaps deliver a deal-breaker to her boyfriend.
Felicity, sitting in the back, drops the bombshell that she may never desire traditional kids and marriage — and that she accepts if that means the end of their relationship. Tane is hurt and unable to digest this knowledge, so he tells her he can’t help her and asks her to leave… Is this the end of the relationship?
