Neighbours Spoilers; Susan kicks Karl out!

Susan discovers the truth about Montana Marcel’s financial problems and kicks Karl out of the house next week on Neighbours in the UK! Will the Kennedys’ marriage be able to withstand this latest setback?

These scenes will premiere in the United Kingdom on Monday, May 2nd, and in Australia on Tuesday, May 31st.

For nearly 30 years, the Kennedy family has lived at 28 Ramsay Street in various permutations.

When Karl (Alan Fletcher), Susan (Jackie Woodburne), and their children Libby, Malcolm, and Billy originally came in 1994, they were replaced by a revolving door of waifs and strays, as well as a wide variety of pets.

Karl and Susan have resided in Erinsborough for the most of their nearly 30 years, although due to their frequently tumultuous marriage, both have moved away at different times.

Karl moved out after his divorce from Susan in 2004, and Susan moved into her own apartment during their 2012 separation, leaving Karl alone in No. 28. For the past decade, they’ve lived in relative peace, but that’s about to change.

Susan discovers the truth about Montana Marcel’s (Tammin Sursok) financial woes next week, and the Kennedy marriage is likely to endure its biggest setback in years.

Karl has intended to set himself and Susan up for a more comfortable retirement ever since he saw Clive’s (Geoff Paine) fancy residence.

When Susan suggested that they spend their golden years in a luxury apartment like Clive’s, Karl knew he had to act quickly to ensure that he and his wife experienced the retirement of their dreams.

Susan first advised that they boost their tram investment as a means to make their money work harder. However, Karl had a better idea when he saw Paul (Stefan Dennis) discussing investment options with Montana Marcel.

He wore his nicest suit and presented himself as a savvy investor on the lookout for deals. He requested a copy of the prospectus for Montana’s new cosmetics line, and was astounded by the potential profits – just what he and Susan needed if they wanted to live the way Clive does.

He proposed that they invest $20,000 in Montana’s new business at first. Susan, on the other hand, flatly rejected it, accurately recognizing it as a dangerous move with no guarantees.

Karl, on the other hand, was so confident in Montana’s new cosmetics line that he tore up the $20,000 check, went behind Susan’s back, and invested a staggering $200,000 in her company!

Susan was taken aback when she learned what Karl had done, and after finding that their bank was unable to recover the funds, she planned to persuade Montana to return their investment.

She attempted to tug at Montana’s emotions by inviting her to dinner and portraying them as a struggling family whose only source of income was used to pay their children’s mortgages.

It almost worked until Montana overheard Susan criticizing her fashion and cosmetics enterprises for being exploitative. Montana was glad to provide the Kennedys with VIP tickets to Fashion Week, but she made it clear that she would not refund their money.

Karl was still persuaded that it was a sound investment that would pay off quickly. He is, however, completely unaware that Montana is under investigation by the IRS and is set to be arrested during Fashion Week.

Montana is arrested during Fashion Week in next week’s episodes, and their world comes crumbling down. The reality about her financial problems is revealed to the world, and it quickly becomes evident that their $200,000 investment will not be repaid.

Karl makes one last frantic attempt to recover their funds, but the harm has already been done, and it turns out that the funds have already been used to pay off Montana’s other bills!

It’s evident early on that Paul was aware of Montana’s financial difficulties.

As he converses with the Kennedys, he shares a little too much, leading Terese to believe that he kept quiet to secure her demise.

Of all, the Kennedys are merely bystanders in Paul’s scheme, and he is taken aback when he hears that Karl has invested in Montana’s company. He’s sorry they’ve lost so much money, but there’s nothing he can do about it.

Susan kicks Karl out of the house, distraught that they’ve lost so much money!

Karl, in need of a somewhere to stay, comes straight to Paul’s Lassiter’s penthouse apartment, luggage in hand, and plans to move in.

Paul is to blame for the catastrophe, and Karl isn’t going to let him forget it.

Paul has no intention of allowing him to stay and instead offers his pal a complimentary hotel room. Karl, on the other hand, is adamant about remaining in Paul’s suite. Paul will simply have to bear the repercussions of his conduct!

Karl quickly establishes himself as the flatmate from hell.

While Karl is determined to make amends, Susan’s sense of betrayal runs deep, and she makes it clear that her friends have no role in the Kennedys’ reconciliation.

When they learn that Hendrix has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and requires a lung transplant, they band together to assist him – but Susan isn’t letting Karl off the hook.

The Kennedy marriage appears to be on the verge of disintegrating once more.
