Home and Away has lost many fan-favourites this year, with Rob Kipa-Williams (Ari Parata), Lukas Radovich (Ryder Jackson), Courtney Miller (Bella Nixon), Sam Frost (Jasmine Delaney) and Harley Bonner (Logan Bennett) all quitting the soap.
There are now rumours flying around about other cast members that are preparing for an exit, leaving fans distraught over the possibility of losing Ethan Browne (Tane Parata).

Fans expressed their dismay on social media when the rumour concerning Ethan first surfaced.
One person remarked, “Won’t be the same if they do leave,” while another wrote, “I hope Tane doesn’t leave because I love him.”
Another wrote, “Oh no, not Tane,” with regret.
Another admitted, “I’m not sure [that] I’ll even want to watch anymore if all these [favourites] keep going.”
However, the celebrity tells us that he is staying put in an exclusive interview with Yahoo Lifestyle.
He jokingly responds that he’ll work there “forever” when asked how long he plans to remain on the soap opera.
He chuckles and replies, “No, I dunno. I suppose I’ve got a few more years in me.”

What’s next for Tane?
The focus of Tane’s current plot is his upcoming marriage to Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis). While the process of planning a wedding right now appears simple, drama is a common part of weddings in Summer Bay.
While Ethan can’t reveal too much about what his character will experience, he does warn us that “a storm” is coming.
He suggests that “there will be a little bit of a storm, and it will come good again.”
“So it appears that [everything] is in order…
But on Home and Away, things frequently go from good to bad when things are going well, he jokes.
He adds cryptically, “That’s all I’ll say: It’s going to come right.

Is there a crossover on the horizon?
The medical drama Shortland Street, New Zealand’s longest-running soap opera, is a favourite of the Kiwi actor.
Given that Home and Away has a sizable following in Aotearoa, he alludes to a potential crossover between the two shows (New Zealand).
“I’d love [a crossover]. I grew up watching Shortland Street and I’ve always wanted to work with Dr Chris Warner,” he tells us.
“I mean, I hear that might be in the works, maybe? Wait and see,” Ethan says.
New Zealand’s version of Alf Stewart is Chris Warner, played by Michael Galvin. He holds the record as the longest-serving original character on the show.
The kiwi show has helped kickstart careers for stars such as KJ Apa (Riverdale), Rose McIver (A Christmas Prince), Karl Urban (The Boys) and Martin Henderson (Grey’s Anatomy).
