Home and Away‘s Cash Newman panics next week as he realises thatĀ Stevie Marlow’s stalkerĀ could be capable of murder.
The former policeman is shocked as Stevie casually mentions that one of her film co-stars recently died in suspicious circumstances.
Movie star Stevie recently hired Cash to be her bodyguard after being hassled by a stalker.
The individual in question appears to be an obsessed fan of Stevie’s horror films, as there are creepy connections between the real-life crimes and the on-screen storylines.
In next week’s episodes on Channel 5, Cash alerts Stevie to a mysterious number that was written on the back of a photo that the stalker sent to her.
This is the same number written by the killer in Stevie’s Death Throes movie. Cash can’t help fearing that the stalker is trying to copy the film by making plans to murder Stevie.
Cash decides that it’s time to investigate more thoroughly, so he asks Stevie whether anything strange has happened to her fellow cast members.
Stevie confirms that one of her co-stars, Crystal, died a month ago. Cash is frustrated that he’s only hearing about this now, but Stevie argues that it didn’t seem relevant as Crystal’s death appeared to be an accident.
Even so, Stevie adds that a coroner’s inquest is ongoing as the circumstances surrounding Crystal’s death were unclear.
Stevie speaks movingly about how Crystal was her best friend and how it didn’t make sense that she’d lose her life by “falling” from a cliff.
Later, there’s a knock at the door and Cash is suspicious to find that someone has sent Stevie a teddy bear.
Stevie presumes that it’s a harmless gift from a fan, but Cash investigates and finds a hidden camera and microphone concealed inside the bear.
Cash immediately destroys the recording devices, but the malicious sender has still had enough time to grab a picture showing him and Stevie together. This soon appears online via an anonymous social media profile.
Is Stevie being taunted by a potential killer?
