A new clip from Coronation Street depicts Dee-Dee Bailey plotting with DS as she continues her effort to expose her unfaithful ex, Joel Deering. Lisa Swain in an attempt to reveal him
This week, Dee-Dee Bailey of Coronation Street is teamed up with Detective Lisa Swain on a mission to bring Joel Deering to justice. On Monday, September 2, the soap opera’s narrative develops as the two work together to find evidence that could implicate the villain.
Dee-Dee decides to boldly go to Joel’s previous workplace, Walcotts, to dig deeper. During a tense conversation at the police station, Lisa explains: “My hands are tied Dee-Dee.”
The solicitor probes: “Did you come across any other girls he’d been involved with? There’s got to be some out there.” Lisa muses: “I was wondering if he had any friends who might have an incline about what he was doing? “. Dee fires back: “I don’t think he’s got any. You know I’d never met them, red flag.”.
The conversation gets intense as Lisa dishes more dirt: “Or colleagues, maybe? He was at a firm called Walcott Associates for a few years, but left abruptly.”
Dee-Dee quizzes: “Ok, do you know why? “. To which Lisa admits: “No, and now the case is closed I’m not allowed to go and ask,” But Dee-Dee sees an opening: “But I could.” Lisa drops yet another clue: “Apparently they have a department that does work for vulnerable, young people.”
Thinking aloud, Dee-Dee says: “And he split up from his ex-wife because he had an affair? ” Lisa ponders: “What? When he was at Walcotts? “. Dee-Dee suspects: “I don’t know for sure but I’d put money on it.”
Their chat gets interrupted though as PC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) enters the scene. Will Dee-Dee play detective at Walcotts and find out more about Joel?
Joel is fully aware of his situation and is planning an escape from his crimes. He believes he can evade punishment for his abuse towards Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) and other vulnerable young girls. But will Dee-Dee and Lisa catch him in time? Or will Joel manage to slip away without facing any repercussions?
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
