Kate Ritchie made a flashy fashion statement as she left Sydney Airport over the weekend.
The Nova radio star, 46, wore $2,300 Chanel lambskin sandals with a floral maxi dress and a black cardigan.
The actress accessorised with stylish wide-framed sunglasses and heart-shaped gold earrings.
Kate tied her brunette hair back in a ponytail and highlighted her natural beauty with a light layer of nude makeup and lip gloss.
She looked to be in good spirits as she wheeled her luggage through the bustling terminal.
Rumours are rife Kate may be appearing on the upcoming series of reality TV show SAS Australia.
An industry insider told this week’s Woman’s Day magazine that Channel Seven producers were considering Kate for the grueling Ant Middleton-hosted show.
‘Kate is ideal for SAS as she has the backstory they go for. She’s been through a divorce, an arrest and many tough times,’ they told the publication.
‘Plus she’s a Seven favourite from her Home and Away days. The only thing stopping Kate is if she really wants to do reality TV. She’s only done it once, on It Takes Two back in 2007.’
Ritchie has been trying to get her life back on track after her shock drink driving arrest and charge in August 2022.
Last year, she revealed her decision to get professional help after she blew over the limit when she was stopped by police for a random breath test.
The ex-soap star said that after struggling with several personal challenges in 2022 she decided it was time to seek help.
‘It was a long time coming. I sought professional help, the help that I needed. Sometimes enough is enough,’ she said at the time.
‘Life has thrown me its challenges over the last few years, but I am not alone in that. I was fortunate to be able to take time.’
Ritchie returned a reading of 0.06 – just over the legal limit – when she was stopped by police for a random breath test in her station wagon at Pagewood at 2.45pm on 22 August 2022.
Kate Ritchie was fined $600 and had her license suspended for three months after failing a random breath test, which she later addressed on Instagram.
“Although the result was low, it came back positive. I made a poor decision and fully understand the seriousness of my actions. I’m truly sorry,” she wrote.
In October 2022, Ritchie announced a brief break from her radio show. It was later revealed that she sought treatment at a high-end rehab clinic in Sydney. By December, news broke that she had entered a private mental health facility to address her alcohol dependency. She acknowledged that the past year had been tough and had led to an “unhealthy reliance on alcohol.”
The former Home and Away actress had married Stuart Webb in 2010, but the couple separated in 2020.
