Former EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley, who is best known for portraying Karen Taylor on the BBC One soap, wowed her former co-stars with her jaw-dropping transformation
Former Enders starLorraine Stanley has stunned her ex-castmates, flaunting a glam transformation a year after leaving the iconic BBC soap.
The 48 year old actress, known for her role as Karen Taylor – Walford’s down-on-her-luck mum – from 2017 to 2024, is famous for her character’s less-than-glamorous style, dishevelled hair and ever-slipping bra strap.
Now, almost a year since she waved goodbye to Albert Square, Lorraine looks worlds apart from her soap persona.
On Monday (June 2), the star dazzled her Insta followers by parading her new svelte figure, having reportedly dropped five stone.
She hit up her Instagram in a green and pink floral crop top and trouser ensemble at a swish bingo event in Portsmouth.

“Think it’s a beach kaftan type thing, cost less than ÂŁ30 a couple of years ago, first time I’ve worn it. I love it, thanks for all the beautiful comments and cheers to Candice for my make-up @thebrat.studio, lots of people commented on me old boat.”

Her update sparked a torrent of compliments in the comments section from her former EastEnders friends with James Bye, who plays Martin Fowler, noting: “Look at you skinny minny xx miss you mate xx.”
Denise Fox star Diane Parish couldn’t help but exclaim: “You look incredible!” adding a love heart emoji to her praise.
Kellie Shirley, also an EastEnders alum, warmly expressed: “Gorgeous inside and out! Hope to see you soon! Xx.”
Radio personality Angie Greaves was equally impressed, commenting: “Wow …. you look amazing.”
Before gracing the set of BBC One’s beloved soap, Lorraine had already carved out a name for herself on TV, boasting stints on other BBC staples like Holby City, as well as Casualty, The Bill, and London’s Burning.
