EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer, who has played Bianca Jackson since 1993, has made a huge ITV soap swipe as she eyes up a new role on the cobbles after her Walford exit
EastEnders icon Patsy Palmer has dropped a bombshell in the Celebrity Big Brother house, hinting at a possible soap switch during a chat with Coronation Street’s Jack P Shepherd.
The redhead, famed for her role as Bianca Jackson, cheekily suggested she wouldn’t mind trying her hand on the cobbles of Weatherfield and even roped in Jack to help her nail down a northern accent.
While rustling up some grub in the kitchen, Patsy playfully pitched the idea of teaming up with Jack’s alter ego, David Platt, on Corrie, asking him to tutor her in the art of saying: “Let’s have a bit of cake and some tea.”
Jack seemed pretty chuffed with her efforts as he nonchalantly stirred his brew.

Patsy, who first set foot in Albert Square back in ’93, has seen her character pop in and out of Walford over the years, with her latest departure scenes due to hit screens shortly, reports OK!.
She’s previously lamented that shaking off her Bianca image has been a “shame” confessing that despite her fiery screen presence, she’s actually more chill than you’d think.
“I think fans might think I’m quite feisty because of Bianca but I’m not really, I’m quite a calm person,” she dished before diving into the reality TV stint, revealing that her EastEnders mates often praise the good vibes she brings on set, according to the Mirror.
Keen to show the world the real Patsy, she quipped, “I’ve got my life together!” as she geared up for her reality show adventure.
“[Bianca] can’t get her life together. She’s in fight or flight. “I’m not in fight or flight. I’m not really zen, but I do like to try my best to follow that way of life, which is so different from the drama in her life!”

During Monday’s (April 14) show, the housemates once again entered the diary room to make their nominations for the latest eviction. This followed Mickey Rourke’s removal from the show due to his poor behaviour.
The Hollywood actor’s pay is expected to be “slashed” following his early departure. On Saturday (April 12) night, it was announced that the actor had been evicted from the house after a very tense first week.
Sitting in the Diary Room after being asked to leave, the 72 year old star of The Wrestler didn’t resist and implied that the desire for him to leave was mutual. “I went over the line, you know, I did wrong,” he admitted.
“I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave, you know. I wanted to leave yesterday actually but I wasn’t chosen.”
