EastEnders viewers are convinced they know who will die after Zack Hudson and Teddy Mitchell were left for dead following a horror car accident that saw them plunge into freezing water

EastEnders fans believe they’ve pieced together the puzzle of who meets a tragic end after Zack Hudson (James Farrar) and Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) were left in a perilous situation.

A dreadful car crash saw Zack and Teddy plunged into icy waters during Tuesday’s episode (May 27), now available for viewing on BBC iPlayer.

The accident occurred as Zack attempted to escape with Teddy’s son, Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman), upon discovering he was the lad’s biological father from 16 years ago.

Eager to connect with his long-lost son and convinced that the volatile Mitchell household was no place for him, Zack hatched a plan for them to relocate to Inverness.

In light of this shocking revelation, Teddy urged his wife Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) to leave Walford for good, keeping Barney in the dark about the truth, reports Belfast Live.

Teddy’s other son, Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway), sought revenge on Zack for shattering their family, knocking him out cold and stowing him away in a car boot.

Upon realising Harry had vanished, Teddy decided to use his phone tracker to trace him.

Unsuspecting Billy and Honey Mitchell (Perry Fenwick and Emma Barton), who were en route to the cinema with Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley), unwittingly became part of the chase.

However, their journey took a dramatic turn when they found Harry pulled over in a secluded woodland area.

The drama unfolded as the group successfully got Harry back into their car, with Teddy in need of a private word with Zack.

In a tense moment, they hauled his unresponsive form into their vehicle and Teddy sped away. When Zack started to regain consciousness and became panicked without any idea of his surroundings, he pressed Teddy to pull over.

But disaster struck when Teddy lost grip of the vehicle, resulting in a terrifying tumble down an embankment and into the water below.

Fans on X, the platform once known as Twitter, have been vocal about the gripping scene. One viewer remarked: “Teddy doesn’t get out of that lake alive. Today’s episode I didn’t expect til Thursday this week is turbocharged – just wish I cared about them more tbh #EastEnders.”

Another commented: “Ugh Teddy is probably gonna die and Zack will survive even tho it was his fault the car crashed.”

Speculating further, someone else suggested: “I reckon Teddy dies and that’s how Nicola gets to stay #EastEnders.”

The looming question now is whether Teddy and Zack can both escape this near-death experience or whether Barney has to face growing up without his dad.
