That was quite a week in EastEnders spoilers, wasn’t it?! And the drama is going to keep on coming as new show boss Ben Wadey gets his teeth stuck in and keeps on bringing the good stuff.
In this week’s episodes, toxic teenager Joel Marshall lashed out at the women around him as his terrible behaviour continued. Meanwhile, Oscar left Patrick fighting for his life after breaking in to steal his gambling winnings.
The drama continues in spoilers for August 11-15, as Avani makes a big decision about the pregnancy, Joel acts out again, and Patrick continues to struggle following the attack.
But beyond that? Read on for our pick of the best upcoming spoilers for EastEnders.
1. Suki’s baby plan leaves the family divided
Recent episodes saw Avani agree to carry her baby to full term so that Suki and Eve can adopt it. However, as Eve grows increasingly dubious, she realises that Avani is also having second thoughts about having the child.
She agrees to support Avani in having an abortion. Meanwhile, after talking to Stacey, Suki realises that she needs to tell Priya and Ravi about the pregnancy.
Ravi and Priya are shocked to learn that Avani is expecting child, and unleash their fury on Suki. And with Suki hanging all her hopes for the future on Avani’s baby, she’s not likely to take news of the abortion well. What will Eve’s decision mean for the future of their marriage?
2. Joel’s out of control
Joel continues to prove a handful as his behaviour worsens. After discovering Stacey’s SecretCam account, he’s held responsible when she reports him to the police. Joel, however, is adamant that he’s done nothing wrong.
His already unpredictable, volatile behaviour is exacerbated when he learns that Avani was pregnant with his child but chose to have an abortion. After deciding to confront Avani, he gets into an explosive confrontation with Ravi. Can Ross get Joel in hand before he goes too far? And was he responsible for leaking Stacey’s SecretCam work?
3. Max returns for his family
The BBC revealed earlier this month that Max Branning is returning to EastEnders. Following in the footsteps of son Oscar, Max will reunite with his surviving children, brother and the daughter he never knew he had when he comes back to Walford.
Max’s return comes at an already chaotic time for the Brannings. After breaking into Patrick’s home and leaving the old man unconscious, Oscar’s grappling with his own guilt and the fallout from being blackmailed by Howie. Meanwhile, daughter Lauren is attempting to come to terms with Jimmy’s blindness, while also preparing for her upcoming marriage to Peter Beale.
But what fresh havoc will Max unleash as he comes face-to-face with old friends and enemies again? And are the residents of Walford ready for the double act of Oscar and Max?
4. Patrick is reunited with Anthony in EastEnders spoilers
Max isn’t the only one returning to EastEnders in upcoming spoilers. Anthony Trueman is set to reunite with his father following 11 years’ away from Walford. Returning for his dad’s wedding to Yolande, Anthony is blindsided when he learns about his father’s recent attack.
This convinces him to stick around longer than he had planned. But will he discover that Howie knows exactly who attacked his dad? And will Anthony reunite with old flame Zoe when she too makes her inevitable return to Walford?
5. Zoe returns to Walford
Zoe Slater made her surprise return earlier this year, crashing back into Stacey and Alfie’s lives after twenty years. She left again soon afterwards, but the soap has already confirmed that her permanent return will come later this year.
But what brings Zoe home to Walford? And what terrible secret could she be hiding? Might the rumours that she’s Joel Marshall’s estranged mother turn out to be true?
6. Bye-bye Freddie in EastEnders spoilers
Bobby Brazier is making an exit from EastEnders, it has been revealed. An EastEnders rep revealed to The Sun: “We can confirm that Bobby Brazier will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish him all the best for the future.”
The Freddie Slater still has some time to go now as bosses have reportedly planned a big story for his exit.
So how will we say goodbye to Bobby? Will he leave to be with his mum, Little Mo? It’s not been revealed whether the door will be left open for his return, but we’re keeping our finger crossed Freddie leaves alive.
