Home and Away‘s Bree Cameron gives love cheat Remi Carter hope for their future next week – even though she begs him for space.
The couple are about to reach a crossroads in their relationship, as Remi devastates Bree by admitting that he betrayed her with Avalon Bracken.
This week’s Channel 5 episodes see Remi ‘fess up to Bree after spending the night with Avalon. When Bree also learns about Remi’s recent drug use, she decides that it’s time to go their separate ways.
Remi won’t give up on Bree so easily, though. In next week’s episodes, Remi builds up the courage to text Bree and ask if they can talk…
“Bree’s friend and work colleague Dana is there when she receives the message,” our Home and Away source explains.
“Dana suggests that Bree has nothing to lose if she at least agrees to hear Remi out.”
When Bree agrees and the former couple meet up, the atmosphere is tense and emotional.
Remi admits that he can’t stop thinking about Bree and is desperate to fix things, but she’s unsure whether she can ever forgive him for the way he’s treated her.
First on the agenda for Bree is finding out Remi’s motivations behind risking their entire relationship for a one-night stand.
Aware that he owes Bree an explanation, Remi tries to unpack what happened – but the details aren’t easy for her to hear…
“Remi insists that this was never about having feelings for Avalon,” our insider continues. “Instead, it was about how Avalon made him feel about himself when she encouraged him to get back into the recording studio as a musician rather than a producer.
“Avalon saw Remi’s true potential and this meant everything to him, but Bree can’t help feeling put out by his brutal honesty. The implication seems to be that she wasn’t supporting him as much as Avalon was.”
Looking to the future, Remi promises that he’ll spend the rest of his life trying to make it up to Bree if she’ll let him.
Bree admits that she still loves Remi, but will need time and space to work through her emotions and figure out whether they have a future.
Later in the week, Bree and Remi meet up at Salt for another make-or-break conversation.
Bree confirms that she’s willing to try rebuilding their relationship, but it will have to be on her terms.
“Remi is delighted by the news but gets a bit too carried away,” our source warns.
“Back at Bree’s place, Remi goes in for a kiss – something that she’s far from ready for.”
