A real life Home and Awaycouple brought a little bit of Summer Bay to Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs on the weekend.
Sophea Pennington, who plays newcomer Lacey on the long-running Aussie show, stepped out with a topless and seriously chiselled Matt Evans (who plays Theo) at Bronte Beach, confirming they have well and truly transferred their on-screen romance into real life.
And they really didn’t need sunny skies to turn up the heat.

The couple confirmed they were an item earlier this year, with Sophea sharing just how Matt has helped her settle in on set.
“He’s such a lovely, lovely guy and a great person to work with, extremely talented. So I couldn’t have asked for a better co-star,” the young star told The Post.

So lovely that they couldn’t help but spend time together when cameras weren’t rolling, too.
“Yes, we are dating in real life. He really is the best. And also, it works, you know, I guess chemistry’s chemistry.
“I think, if anything, it creates such a safe space for us – because we’re so comfortable with each other – to be able to really dive deep into the story and the relationship between the two characters.”

The couple will be spending more time off screen these days with Matt’s character, Theo Poulos, killed off on the show earlier this month.
Viewers were left completely shocked when Theo died following a devastating hit-and-run accident, while trying to save his real-life girlfriend no less.
The sad scene unfolded with Theo’s aunt Leah (played by Ada Nicodemou) being notified of the tragic incident.

Matt spoke of his huge storyline on The Morning Show, confirming he was indeed leaving the program for good.
“I think it was quite a shock for a lot of people,” he said, also sharing that he watched his final moments play out on screen with a group of mates.

“Like people knew a character was going to die, but they didn’t know it was really Theo… and it happened so quick as well.”
After the sad episode aired, Matt took to social media to share a loving tribute to his character, which also featured a sweet behind-the-scenes shot with Sophea.
“As one door closes another one opens,” he captioned the photo of them cuddling on Instagram.
Sophea commented with a simple red love heart, which pretty much summed up that their real-life romance would be living on.
