Lives are hanging in the balance in the soap’s huge cliffhanger.
Home and Away has given viewers a taste of what’s to come as it teased the storylines for next year, including the aftermath of a horrific train crash.
As the series is now on its summer break Down Under, it will return in January with some jaw-dropping twists following the crash’s cliffhanger.
Last night’s movie-length finale saw more than 1.4 million viewers tune in across both TV and streaming (via TV Blackbox) as multiple lives are hanging in the balance.
A new promo hinted at rescue operations being in full swing to save those trapped in the wreckage, as those involved in the crash includes Justin Morgan, Mackenzie Booth, Remi Carter and Abigail Fowler.

The gang was headed to Broken Hill festival with Dana Matheson, Sonny Baldwin, Lacey Miller, Jo Langham and Eddie Shepherd, who are all also trapped on the train.
Meanwhile, fans in the UK will have to wait till next year to see the train crash drama unfold.
When the soap returns to Aussie screens on 19 January, every second will be crucial.
The clip sees Levi Fowler butting heads with Cash Newman to access the derailed train so he can help Abigail and Mack.
Also at the scene are Sergeant David Langham and Tane Parata, as the latter defies police orders and heads into the tunnel to rescue his loved ones, but who will make it back to Summer Bay?

The trailer also anticipates the return of two fan-favourite characters for more scenes taking place in Western Australia.
Couple Darryl “Brax” Braxton and Ricky Sharpe will be back in 2026, with their “ambitious, high-stakes” storyline moving the action away from the Bay and across Perth, the coastline and the Outback.
