The beloved character has also played a part in several big storylines too. From his beloved relationship with Yolande (Angela Wynter) to the death of his son Paul (Gary Beadle), Patrick’s time in Walford has not been short of drama.
Especially in recent months, as at Christmas, Patrick’s other son Anthony (Nicholas Bailey) also died after he was killed by his secret daughter Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness).
Her mum Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) was the main suspect to be responsible for Anthony’s death – and has been sent to prison, much to Kat Slater’s (Jessie Wallace) horror.
This week though, after Anthony’s funeral, Jasmine came clean to Kat about what really happened. And in Tuesday’s episode (February 17) Jasmine promised there is video proof on her phone – only to realise it was missing.
After Jasmine disappeared, Kat ended up calling the police on her. But when Jasmine showed back up to the Queen Vic, she revealed the murder weapon, and told Kat they can pin the crime on Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman).
However, the police then arrived an in front of everyone in the pub, including Patrick, an angry Jasmine was told she was being arrested for the murder of Anthony, leaving Patrick stunned.
But amid all the drama going down in Walfprd, attention has turned to the ages of both Patrick and actor Rudolph. The character of Patrick was born 26th of June 1940, making him currently 85. Whereas actor Rudolph is 86 and turns 87 on the 28th September.
Reacting to their youthful appearance and ages fans have previously shared their shock. On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one person declared: “Wow! Looking fabulous!”
Another chimed in and commented: “This man looks soo well. And his skin!!!” Echoing their thoughts a third smitten fan then declared: “Congratulations to them both for such a storyline. 85, where? He’s not aging at all.”
