EastEnders viewers are convinced George Knight is set to welcome a second baby in a year into the world
EastEnders fans are certain George Knight will father another child following the recent arrival of baby daughter Ivy, but Nicola Mitchell isn’t the mum.
Last week on the BBC drama, Nicola (Laura Doddington) was devastated after her little girl arrived early and was rushed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), with a raised temperature, meaning she couldn’t be near her newborn.
On Monday (April 7), George and Nicola grappled with their baby’s health issues. This ordeal brought George and Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) together, as she’d previously endured the trials of having a premature baby.
Spotting George’s anguish, Chelsea reached out to him for a candid chat, leading to a touching moment between them.
On Tuesday (April 8), Nicola was finally permitted to hold baby Ivy, and George wasted no time in declaring his love for her, a love she couldn’t return, leaving the ex-professional boxer crushed, reports OK!.
EastEnders viewers are now certain that George and Chelsea will grow closer through their shared premature birth experiences and will also bring a new baby into the world together.
The New Year’s flash-forward, set on 1 January 2027, revealed an unknown pregnant woman in bed with Max Branning (Jake Wood).
Chelsea later appeared in that episode, getting ready for Max’s wedding, draped in a towel to skilfully hide any indication of pregnancy. Nicola and George also featured, with Nicola seeming to be livid with Chelsea.
Yet viewers are now convinced that the exchange proves Chelsea is the mysterious expectant woman from the flash-forward sequence and that George is the father.
Along with baby Ivy, George is also the father of Junior, Gina, and Anna Knight. Is he on course to have baby number five?
“I have a horrible feeling George and Chelsea are going to have it off, which is such a shame because it was a lovely scene today between them,” observed one viewer.
Another added: “Chelsea screen time at last! I really enjoyed her scene with George, I might be overthinking it, but I’m hoping nothing happens between them, given how annoyed Nicola seemed when he asked about her in the flashforward”, reports the Mirror.
A third suggested alongside a picture of George and Chelsea: “Just throwing it out there… Nicola hates Chelsea by New Year’s Day.”
A fourth viewer wondered whether Chelsea and George might be expecting a baby together: “I had the same thought too! Also, this might be a stretch, but what if Chelsea and George have a brief affair while Ivy and Nicola are in the hospital, and Chelsea ends up pregnant? She could then be the pregnant lady in bed with Max, hiding from Nicola?”
One fan agreed: “Omggg I had the exact same thought and our Chels does love men that are taken.”
Meanwhile, another viewer speculated that even without an affair taking place, Nicola might suspect one: “I can see Nicola falling for George getting the wrong end of the stick, thinking George and Chelsea are together when it’s actually Max and Chelsea that sleep together, hence the Flashforward.”
