She recently rubbished reports her whirlwind trip to Australia was a publicity stunt.
Pia Whitesell (née Miller) was soaking in the sun in the Caribbean on Wednesday, looking as if she didn’t have a care in the world.
The 38-year-old actress sipped a cocktail while relaxing at a beachside club, putting the harsh gossip about her recent trip to Australia behind her.
The former Home and Away actress looked stunning in a low-cut pink dress with a thigh split that showed off her toned legs and cleavage to perfection.
She wore her brunette hair down and accessorized with a chain necklace and many tiny bracelets.
It follows Pia’s denial of ‘cruel’ and inaccurate accusations that her return to Australia late last month was purely for publicity.
The model and her Hollywood agent husband Patrick Whitesell, 57, had come in from the United States solely to spend two days at Melbourne Park watching the Australian Open men’s and women’s finals before returning home.
The Herald-Sun also published remarks from an alleged ‘source,’ stating that the LA-based star’s primary motivation for traveling was to be ‘photographed at the Australian Open,’ rather than to see friends and family.
‘I really accepted the opportunity to join Patrick on his business trip to Melbourne because, well, it’s home,’ Pia told the Daily Mail Australia on Monday.
‘It was a short but very sweet trip and yes, I was there with Patrick while he supported his clients,’ she added.
Pia, who is now holidaying on the Caribbean island of Barbuda, added: ‘It was, for me, a real joy to be able to spend time at home with my family and friends and have the opportunity to take [my son] Isaiah and his buddies to the Australian Open to experience some awesome tennis.’
Pia’s retort came a day after The Herald Sun revealed claims about her return to Australia from the so-called ‘friends’ of the ex-soap star.
‘When her friends questioned her motives for the quick trip, the overwhelming response was wanting to be seen and snapped at the tennis,’ the paper alleged.
Pia’s public image, according to the report, is incredibly important to her, and that traveling for 15 hours to watch two games of tennis isn’t a big issue.
According to the story, ‘friends of the former AFL WAG say she lives on publicity and will go to great measures to acquire it.’
In the throng at Melbourne Park, Pia and her mega-rich husband were hard to miss.
On Saturday, the couple was spotted watching Ash Barty and American Danielle Collins compete in the women’s final, and on Sunday, they were photographed watching Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev compete in the men’s grand slam.
According to the Herald Sun, Pia and Patrick were only in Australia for 57 hours before boarding a private plane heading for the United States.
Pia married Patrick in May and has two boys from prior marriages, Isaiah and Lennox.
She permanently relocated from Sydney to the U.S. in September last year.
Patrick is worth an estimated US$440 million (AU$630 million) as the CEO of Hollywood talent agency WME.
Pia has been traveling the world with Patrick since migrating to America with her husband, staying in top-tier hotels and homes.
