Jai Simmons, the son of Dean Thompson, has returned to Home and Away for a second guest appearance.
During Tuesday’s program on Channel 7 in Australia, River Jarvis repeated his role as Jai, which included heartfelt sequences for the youngster’s grandma Karen (Georgia Adamson).
Karen has returned to Summer Bay in recent Australian episodes to reassure Dean (Patrick O’Connor) that she is fine after she briefly went missing and caused concern.
When Karen showed up again, Dean was a little worried because he hadn’t told her about Jai’s presence yet. When Karen uncovered a picture of Jai that he had tried to hide, his hand was forced.
In the most recent episode of Home and Away, Karen struggled to understand why Dean didn’t tell her about his son.
In the past, Jai’s mother Amber has made it obvious that she does not want Karen to have any contact with the child. Amber imposed this requirement months ago since she doesn’t trust Karen after learning about her difficult past.
Jai’s visit to the Bay was orchestrated by Dean because he felt terrible for Karen and thought she deserved a second chance.
In the most recent episode of Home and Away, Karen struggled to understand why Dean didn’t tell her about his son.
To yet, Amber has made it obvious that she does not wish to have any involvement with Jai. Amber imposed this requirement months ago since she doesn’t trust Karen after learning about her difficult past.
Being moved by the plight of poor Karen, Dean decided to step in and arrange for Jai’s visit to the Bay.
The first time Karen had seen her grandson in person, Dean let her watch from a distance as he played with Jai on the beach.
It was only a matter of time before they decided to include Karen. To protect her identity, she went by the alias “Girlfriend of John Palmer” (Shane Withington).
In the end, Dean reminded Karen that his life is going well, and it’s time for her to focus on hers as well.
Dean’s top priority was to discover why Karen is so apprehensive about Brett’s proposal to her.
“What’s up with him?” Dean enquired. I can tell that he’s really got a hold on you, and he’s clearly got his hands on you.
