In light of clues found following Lauren Bolton’s abduction, viewers of CORRIE believe they have discovered a new romantic relationship for Sarah Platt.
When Nathan Curtis, her daughter’s groomer, came back to town in May, the young mother was shocked.
She begged him to stay away from Bethany and even paid him £10k to leave Weatherfield.
However, the soap villain took the money but then refused to budge, sneering, “go on, take me to small claims court”.
In a desperate bid to keep him out of Bethany’s life, Sarah planned to plant evidence in Nathan’s van that would suggest he was responsible for Lauren Bolton going missing.
She put a hair bobble Lauren had left behind at the Platts’ in a ziploc bag and waited for Nathan to walk away from his van so she could set him up.
But Sarah was caught in the act by new cop on the block Kit Green.
Thankfully he was sympathetic after she confessed to her plan, and simply warned her to let the police do their job.
Much to her surprise, Sarah later heard that Nathan had actually been arrested on the suspicion of murdering Lauren – because of evidence Kit found in his van.
Later in the week, Sarah asked Kit what he spotted.
Kit revealed it was one of Lauren’s hairs and suggested she must have dropped it, but promised to keep Sarah safe despite knowing about her meddling.
This led viewers to suspect that there might be a new love affair brewing on Coronation Street.
Discussing the plot point on an online forum, one person asked: “Does anyone think Sarah will ultimately end up with Kit?”
One soap fan responded: “Quite possibly. They already have a connection with the planted evidence.”
Another added: “Probably.”
