EastEnders spoilers tease more drama for newcomer Josh Goodwin after his brief romance with Oscar ended
EastEnders has confirmed the conclusion of Oscar Branning’s budding romance with Josh Goodwin following their immediate connection.
Last week on the BBC soap, Sandra Goodwin (Dawn Steele) arrived seeking answers after her son Josh’s (Joshua Vaughan) twin sister, Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness), was charged with murdering their biological father, Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey).
Sandra disclosed that she and her husband, Keith, had fostered both Jasmine and Josh when they were four years old, before the family was split up. The twins’ biological mother, Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), placed them for adoption shortly after their birth.
Josh has lost no time in becoming acquainted with his biological relatives, including the Truemans and the Slaters. However, he also developed an immediate attraction to Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier).

On Thursday (March 26), Oscar and Josh went on a date in The Queen Vic before Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) turned up and was caught attempting to hide Jasmine’s mobile phone in a chair, which holds proof that she didn’t intentionally kill Anthony.
Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) ejected Cindy from the pub before Kat (Jessie Wallace) erupted in anger, sparking a heated argument. Oscar subsequently accessed Jasmine’s phone, with everyone viewing the crucial video footage of Anthony’s demise, seemingly demonstrating she had acted in self-defence.

Kat then informed Oscar that Ritchie Scott (Sian Webber) had organised a special prison visit to see Jasmine, urging him to step forward and attend. As Oscar was hurried from the pub, he and Josh were utterly shocked to finally learn each other’s true identities.
During the prison visit, Oscar expressed regret to Jasmine for doubting her innocence, while Jasmine revealed she might face trial over Anthony’s death. Jasmine enquired about her brother Josh, with Oscar claiming he’d only encountered him fleetingly.
With Oscar hiding the reality of his bond with Josh, Jasmine requested another opportunity. The couple shared an intense kiss and decided to rebuild their romance with a fresh start.
Back on the Square, Oscar encountered Josh, revealed his link to Jasmine, and confirmed they were rekindling their relationship. However, as they parted ways, it remained evident that chemistry still existed between Oscar and Josh.

In forthcoming episodes of the BBC soap, Josh feels overwhelmed by Zoe’s efforts to rebuild their connection and withdraws from his mother’s side of the family. Rather, Josh chooses to spend time with his grandfather, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker).
However, the Crown Prosecution Service gears up for Jasmine’s trial and asks Patrick to provide a video statement. The Truemans ponder if it’s all becoming too overwhelming for Patrick and express concern for the elderly man’s health.
Later in the week, a tactless remark from Kim about Jasmine leaves Josh distressed, leading him to consider whether it’s time to visit his twin sister. Will Josh reveal everything about his short-lived affair with Oscar?
