EastEnders is set to welcome back a familiar face next week, but her anticipated homecoming could be ruined by dramatic news.

Anticipation fills the Slater home next week as Stacey (Lacey Turner) gets ready for Lily’s (Lillia Turner) homecoming after her departure from Walford back in May.

EastEnders enthusiasts will recall that teenage mother Lily had been battling to cope with the heartbreaking loss of her adoptive father Martin Fowler (James Bye) after February’s devastating explosion at The Vic.

Lily had also been worn down by managing household responsibilities and caring for her younger siblings whilst Stacey wrestled with her own bereavement.

Mother and daughter clashed dramatically after another emotional breakdown from Stacey when she misplaced her mobile containing precious messages from Martin.

Their argument escalated dangerously when Stacey accidentally struck Lily with her elbow, and despite attempting to make amends, the damage was done as Lily announced her intention to stay with her biological father, Ryan.

Though the pair appeared to patch things up before Lily’s exit, she warned her mum to “sort herself out” before coming back.

However, it seems Lily’s return won’t be the joyful reunion Stacey hopes for, reports Plymouth Live.

In upcoming EastEnders episodes, Stacey eagerly awaits Lily’s arrival, but her elation quickly turns to horror when devastating news emerges.

Jean (Gillian Wright) and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) reveal that someone has published her SecretCam content online without permission.

Suspecting troublemaker Joel Marshall (Max Murray) is behind the leak, Stacey marches over to challenge him, but his father Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) quickly whisks him away.

Over at No.43, Joel hands over his laptop to Ross for inspection and successfully convinces his father of his innocence. However, Stacey later reports Joel to the police.

In another part of town, Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) grows suspicious when pregnant Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) and Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) make excuses to slip away together, oblivious to their plan to visit a clinic.

Stacey attempts to persuade Suki to be truthful with Ravi (Aaron Thiara) and Priya (Sophie Khan Levy). Taking her advice, Suki returns home to reveal that Avani is expecting and has decided to raise the baby.

However, Suki finds herself in the firing line as Priya and Ravi’s anger erupts, and the family grapples with the aftermath of Avani’s termination.

Meanwhile, Joel discovers Avani’s decision to terminate her pregnancy and is upset he wasn’t consulted.

But as Stacey receives an update from the police about their investigation, will Joel finally face the consequences?

And amidst all the Slater family drama, could Lily make a happy return?
