EASTENDERS’ famous coffee shop Kathy’s Cafe has been serving up spuds for a surprising price – but would you pay it?

Eagle-eyed BBC viewers were left commenting on the price of the food in the fictional East End coffee shop.

Earlier this week, fans noticed that the menu along with the cost for each item appear on screen.

Ian Beale continued his campaign to become Walford’s new councillor, with the help of Oscar Branning, who has also been working with Elaine Peacock to sabotage the fish and chip shop owner.

While they were in the cafe, viewers were quick to spot exactly how much customers were paying for a jacket potato.

One fan pointed out: “£7.25 for a jacket potato.”

While another viewer said that was “cheap” for London prices.

And that’s not all that’s on offer.

Albert Square residents could get their hands on a burger and fries for £10.50, sandwiches for £3.99 and toasties from £5.25.

They’re also giving Stacey’s Baps a run for their money, charging £5.65 for a breakfast bap.

And if you’re parched then you could grab yourself a cuppa for £2.10 or a coffee for a reasonable £2.60.

Meanwhile, fans have been left divided over a new storyline which will see Oscar begin a new relationship with his ex girlfriend’s twin brother.

The flirty fruit and veg flogger – who is played by actor Pierre Counihan-Moullier in the BBC soap – is currently struggling after it was revealed his girlfriend Jasmine killed her biological father Anthony Trueman at Christmas.

With Jasmine in prison, Oscar has spiralled and has been trying to distract himself by sleeping with a succession of new people.

And next week he will fall into bed with another random – only this time it will turn out to be a little bit closer to home than he expected.

As the Truemans anxiously prepare to welcome Josh and mum Sandra to No.27, but when Josh arrives it’s clear it’s too much for Patrick.

Josh and Patrick soon have a heart-to-heart, but the moment is short-lived when Zoe arrives demanding to see Josh having learnt about his arrival from Tommy.

Kim and Denise try to diffuse the situation, but Sandra ends up being the one to force Zoe to leave.

Lauren later spies a flirty interaction between Oscar and Josh and encourages him to get back on the dating scene.

He takes her advice and asks Josh out, and the pair meet for a drink in The Albert before passionately kissing.

The next day Oscar and Josh wake up together, but unbeknownst to the pair, Sandra has arrived in Walford looking for Josh.

Later in the week things take a turn when Josh reveals that he phoned Jasmine – and someone answered when she was locked up.

Viewers know the phone contains footage proving Jasmine killed Anthony in self-defence – but that Cindy has had it to ensure Jasmine goes down for murder.

In a botched attempt at planting the phone at the Vic after being called out by Max, Cindy ends up messing things up and the Slaters and Oscar get a hold of it and watch what really happens.
