EastEnders fans have been left excited after seeing sneak peak pictures of Linda Carter in upcoming episodes, and they’ve taken to social media to share their thoughts
Soap fans are always eager for new plot twists and character revelations, but EastEnders loyalists have been especially excited after having a glimpse at upcoming episodes featuring Linda Carter. They’re chanting “classic Linda is back” after potentially stumbling across spoiler-laden snaps and they’re bursting with anticipation for what’s to come. Kellie Bright, who portrays Linda, debuted on the famous soap in December 2013, stepping onto Albert Square hand-in-hand with her on-screen husband Mick Carter, played by heartthrob Danny Dyer. And now, it seems the Queen Vic landlady is poised to make a sensational return to her roots in forthcoming scenes, prompting exhilaration among devotees of the programme. Over on X, previously known as Twitter, excited tweets are rolling in. A fan gushed: “NOBODY MOVE. MY FAVOURITE EVER LINDA HAIRSTYLE FROM 2013/14 IS BACK.”
It added: “Her first appearance on the 19th December 2013. I cannot wait to see her back in this hairstyle – CLASSIC LINDA.”
The fervour amongst the EastEnders crowd is palpable since the news broke. A stunned viewer commented: “OMG? Welcome back 2014 Linda.”

Since returning to Walford earlier this year after a stint in rehab, Linda has been quite community-focused. Last year, hearts went out to her as she relapsed, haunted by Bernie Taylor (Clair Norris) blaming her for Keanu Taylor’s (Danny Walters) death.
The festive season last year saw Linda grappling with her actions following Christmas 2023, leading her to hit rock bottom. However, a renewed Linda stepped back into Albert Square in February, during the 40th anniversary celebrations of EastEnders.
Upon her return, friends and family welcomed her, although adapting wasn’t smooth sailing with the Knights still in turmoil from Cindy’s Christmas Day incident.
Linda’s previous effort to confront her addiction was seen in an exceptional episode portraying the grim possibilities of her alcoholism, culminating in a hallucination of her own demise which propelled her to rehab.
Her comeback signals a fresh start for the landlady, as she finds herself in the position to offer a helping hand to those around her like never before.
While Linda’s future remains a mystery, fans are full of speculation that they’ll see more of the landlady’s iconic moments – after all, she’s been a fan favourite for over a decade.
