Zoe Slater is returning to Walford next week and EastEnders fans are certain they know exactly who she’ll find a romantic spark with and viewers already know him
EastEnders fans are convinced they know who Zoe Slater will be romantically connected with when she returns to Walford.
It’s been confirmed that the former Albert Square resident makes dramatic comeback next week after a brief appearance earlier this summer.
During Wednesday’s (August 27) episode of the BBC One soap, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) sent a message to his long-lost sister who he’s never met after falling out with their mum Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace).
Spoilers have confirmed that Kat is desperate to find Tommy next week unaware that he’s went to find Zoe.
Just as Kat and Alfie Moon (Shae Richie) begin to give up hope and fear that he may never return, her phone starts to buzz and Tommy’s outside.
She rushes out to find him and is relieved to hear his voice but is taken aback when she sees Zoe stood in front of her for the first time in years.
It remains to be seen what – or who – has been keeping Zoe away from her family for so long but actor James Farrar, who plays Zack Hudson, has teased an upcoming storyline featuring the Slaters.
In a recent interview with Digital Spy and Inside Soap, James said: “It’s nice to be in the centre of the drama with the Slaters.
“Obviously Zoe Slater doesn’t get on with my family too well but it’s nice.
“I started the show in the Vic kitchen and know I’m back there.
“I was with the Carters before and now I’m with the Slaters.”
Fans have since begun speculating that Zoe will end up getting with her rival Sharon Watts’ hunky brother Zack.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “oh Zack & Zoe are definitely becoming an item and I don’t care what people say I love the idea of them # EastEnders.”
Another added: “Zack and Zoe romance when it should ar Kelly Taylor. Bring back Zoe’s girlfriend please I can’t deal with this #EastEnders.”
A third person wrote: “James Farrar just said in an interview he’s ‘in the with the Slaters’ now so I’m assuming Zack is gonna get together with Zoe and work at The Vic since apparently he gets a job there soon…. #EastEnders.”
Fans will remember that Zoe and Sharon have a complicated history following the former’s romantic invovlement with both Sharon’s adoptive dad ‘Dirty’ Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) and her adoptive brother Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman).
