EastEnders has seen a flurry of new and returning faces in recent months, with a host of stars descending on Walford while others have bid farewell to Albert Square.
One of the soap’s significant comebacks unfolded in the wake of Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) heartbreaking demise, as Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) returned to Walford after a lengthy absence.
She arrived alongside her partner Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) and son Joel (Max Murray). The family quickly decided to make London their new base and swiftly integrated with the Walford locals.
The role of Joel in EastEnders is young Max’s first regular TV gig, but he appears to be no newcomer to the entertainment industry.

Max is the offspring of actress and singer Gina Murray. Gina’s television roles include Doctor Who and Witless, and she’s graced the stage in productions such as Chicago, Mamma Mia!, and Hairspray.
She’s also contributed her voice to various video games over the years. Gina is the mother of sons Max and Joe, and her own parents are also well-known figures, reports Belfast Live.
Gina’s father is Mitch Murray, a songwriter, record producer, and author. His illustrious career has earned him two Ivor Novello Awards.
Gina’s mother is Grazina Frame, who was married to Mitch until 1980. Grazina is an actress, singer and voice double, with a resume that includes television shows and theatre productions.
Grazina and Mitch are also parents to Mazz Murray, Max’s aunt. Mazz is a singer and actress renowned for her theatre performances.
Her repertoire includes tributes to Patsy Cline, Dusty Springfield, and Vivian Ellis. Mazz portrayed the Killer Queen in the West End rendition of the musical We Will Rock You and has graced the stage in productions like Chicago.

In 2010, she and her sister Gina formed their own music group, Woman, alongside Anna-Jane Casey and Emma Kershaw. Their debut single was aptly titled I’m a Woman.
Mazz, whose real name is Marianne, tied the knot with Oren Harush in 2009. The couple’s wedding ceremony was made even more memorable by a performance from Queen’s Brian May.
