After a devastating loss, will Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk leave Emmerdale as a pair?
EMMERDALE actors Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk will find their future in risk in forthcoming scenes on the ITV soap, but will they decide they’re ready for a fresh start?
In the aftermath of Christmas Day, Emmerdale villain Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) set fire to the Woolpack, leaving Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) heartbroken.
They’ve been working feverishly to persuade the insurance companies to pay up so they may rebuild their home, but plans to turn the land into a block of luxury apartments appear to have stalled their efforts.
Given that it appears the ITV soap’s renowned characters will never be able to return their house, it may be time for them to pack their possessions and leave their past behind.
During next week’s episodes of the weeknight serial drama, Chas is looking at a burnt-out building that reminds her of her previous home.
A man enters to post a ‘For Auction’ sign on the pub’s metal railings while she is doing so.
After a few years, Chas believes she is going to lose her job as the Woolpack’s landlord.
She understands she can’t do anything because Al and his associate Gavin (Ben Richards) have made fighting for her home practically impossible.
Knowing she’ll be lost without being behind the bar, she could talk to Paddy about permanently leaving the village.
Chas could explain that she wants a better life for their daughter Eve away from Al and Gavin.
Paddy might agree, but he’d have to weigh his options because he’s lived in the Dales for more than two decades and has to think about the vet surgery.
Chas could ask her partner if they can go look for her son, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), in order to start a new life.
The heartthrob fled the hamlet late last year after the murder of his boyfriend, Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon), because his past was too much to handle.
Chas’ mother had not contacted him since he left, so tracking her out would be impossible.
