Bob Morley and Eliza Taylor, both Australian actors, announced the birth of their first child on Instagram.
In 2014, Bob and Eliza met on the set of the hit American drama series The 100.
“Though sleep is well and truly a thing of the past, we could not be happier,” Eliza said on Instagram.
The actress, who portrayed Janae Timmins on Neighbours from 2005 to 2008, teased a first look at the baby by posting a photo of their tiny foot.
In February 2022, the couple revealed they were expecting a child.
To announce the news, the couple posted a photo of matching slippers with the words “Papa Bear,” “Mama Bear,” and “Baby Bear” on them.
“Gearing up for the biggest parts ever, big shoes to fill and we cannot wait!” Bob, who played Drew Curtis on Home and Away from 2006 to 2008, captioned the photo.
Eliza revealed that becoming pregnant wasn’t always simple, especially following the couple’s miscarriage in 2020.
“Our journey to pregnancy was not always smooth sailing but we are elated to announce our little bundle is officially on the way,” she wrote.
Bob received a tattoo of a father penguin and his chick as a memorial to their miscarriage.
“I got this tattoo at a turning point in my life, things don’t always work out as planned, but the lessons learned have made me a better human,” he told Instagram followers at the time.
After meeting and falling in love on the set of The 100, the couple married in 2019.
The two leads of the US drama, Clarke Griffin and Bellamy Blake, were played by Australian actors.
Eliza shared the happy news of their wedding on Twitter after they sealed the knot.
“Recently I married my best friend and soulmate,” the new mum wrote.
“We are very happy and ask that you keep your comments kind and respect our privacy at this time.”
Love Me, an Australian Binge hit, featured Bob recently.
The show, which was shot in Melbourne, chronicled an Australian family’s search for love via three different love tales.
