General Hospital: Elizabeth Webber’s Rocky History with Ric Lansing
GH history reminds Elizabeth Webber has a long and messy history with legal shark, Ric Lansing. Long-time fans will recall that he is the half-brother of Port Charles kingpin, Sonny Corinthos. Ric deeply resented him because he felt their mother chose to raise Sonny over him.
That resentment took over his life causing him to make some awful decisions. Things got worse when Elizabeth got pregnant and miscarried. Ric blamed Sonny for the miscarriage. So, he locked Sonny’s pregnant wife, Carly Corinthos, in a panic room with plans to steal her baby on General Hospital.
On top of that, he was giving Elizabeth birth control without her knowing so she wouldn’t get pregnant while he was trying to snatch Carly’s unborn baby. Needless to say, everything blew up and Liz divorced him. Eventually, they reconciled and married for a second time.
But, of course, Ric continued his shady behavior leading Liz to divorce him once again. Now, a lot of time has passed. They are both older and wiser and he seems to be staying out of trouble. So, it looks as though he’ll pursue her again.
Ric Wants Another Chance with Liz on GH
Currently, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) is back in Port Charles after years away. Of course, the main reason for his return was to support his daughter, Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) as she mourns the death of her baby.
Also, he is sticking around to represent Heather Webber (Alley Mills) with hopes of getting her out of prison. However, his main focus appears to be on his ex-wife, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). Recently, he paid her a visit at General Hospital.
He even brought her flowers. They’re catching up and seem very at ease with one another. Of course, Liz was on her guard at first because of her intense past with Ric. But she softened quickly and there was a genuine chemistry between them.
No doubt, it appears that he wants to reunite with Elizabeth on General Hospital. Recently, the actor shed some light on what he thinks the future holds for Ric and Liz. He explained that Ric thinks of Elizabeth as the one who got away.
She’s the one person besides his daughter, that he’s always wanted to protect — even from himself. The last time he was on General Hospital, eight years ago, he tried to get her back. However, she was with her late husband Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Now, Franco is sadly gone and Liz isn’t with anyone else. So, because he is in a better place in his life, he might think they have a real chance at a re-do. However, she might find herself torn in three different directions soon.
Currently, three of the great loves of her life are all back in the picture and they might all want to win her heart back. So, she may have a difficult decision to make soon on General Hospital.
General Hospital Prediction: Who Will Elizabeth Choose?
Elizabeth might have a great deal of soul-searching to do soon on GH. Indeed, Ric might not be the only one of her former loves who wants a second (or third) chance. Currently, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is back on the canvas even though he hasn’t made his way back home to Port Charles yet.
And he already has Elizabeth on his mind. Right now, on General Hospital, Lucky is trying to keep new villain, Sidwell (Carlo Rota), from killing him. While playing poker, Sidwell mentioned he’s having women’s troubles. And the woman he was referring to is one who’s “hard to forget.”
Then, Lucky flashed back to dancing with Elizabeth when they were teenagers saying that he’s been there himself. So, she is still in the front of his mind. And there’s an extremely good chance that when he gets back home he may try to rekindle their romance.
Also, another one of Liz’s epic loves, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), recently came back onto the scene. They’re getting closer and fans wondered if they would reunite. Unless General Hospital pairs him with Ava Jerome (Maura West), that’s always a possibility.
