General Hospital Recaps: Sonny Shoots Jagger!

In Port Charles, a day’s worth of events might easily leave one disoriented. Our recaps of General Hospital for the week of August 26, 2024 will help you quickly catch up if you missed anything!

Ric urged Alexis to step up for Molly as well as Kristina, warning that Molly thinks she always chooses Kristina over her. Molly, off a conversation with Dex about rocky family relationships, arrived to work things out with her mother. Alexis tried to explain her position between a rock and a hard place, and Molly assured her she hadn’t lost her. Sonny came by the house to visit Kristina and Cates interrupted to question her.

To avoid that, Sonny agreed to meet with Jagger privately where the FBI agent told the mob boss he would make the charges disappear if Sonny confessed to all his crimes. Meanwhile, Kristina called Jason for help and he assured her Cates was being handled. Agent Cates hauled Kristina into the station to charge her with the manslaughter of her unborn baby, and Alexis lit into him for overstepping. As John tried to pressure Kristina to turn on her father to make her charges go away, Alexis begged Sonny to save their daughter.

Sonny called Cates to inform him he would turn himself in. John wanted to move Kristina to a holding cell and Alexis tried to stop him, but Anna insisted they couldn’t handle any additional prisoners. Because he was going to make another arrest, Cates agreed to let Kristina go home. There, Kristina secretly stole her mother’s keys and sneaked over to Sonny’s place to steal a gun from his lockbox.

Sonny called Diane to let her know he was turning himself in then went to the Quartermaines where he had heartfelt chats with Dante, Lois, and Michael, who was wondering where Willow was. Jagger confronted Sonny at the boathouse and the mobster pulled out a gun. Warning Cates he went too far when he went after his daughter, Sonny shot him in the chest, and when he went down, fired again!

Lucky Was Held Captive!

Being held prisoner by some men, Lucky offered to work for them and when presented with a gun and told to kill a doctor, he pulled the trigger and passed their test. The gun wasn’t loaded, and after the men left, Lucky told the doctor, Isaiah, that he was there to rescue him. At Lucky’s direction, Isaiah told the boss, Sidwell, that he needed special equipment to perform medical tests, but they wouldn’t let Lucky go with him. Lucky gave Isaiah a gun and told him to escape himself and then contact the WSB to help him later. Sidwell confronted Lucky, accusing him of trying to free Dr. Cannon, but Lucky claimed he wasn’t his friend and all he cared about was money and they played cards while waiting. Isaiah arrived at Port Charles airport where someone was watching him.

Ava Feared for Her Life!

Cates left Ava in a motel to hide out until the trial but after he left, she was suspicious of the female FBI agent he left guarding her and tried to escape, only to be caught. Ava realized Boyle was driving her to the Pine Barrens, and urged her to go to a bank instead so she could offer more than whatever Cates was paying her. But Boyle explained he had evidence on her that would go away when Ava did, so Ava grabbed the wheel and as the car swerved, Isaiah ran into the road and was hit!

The Race to Save Lulu!

Portia told Laura that Lulu needed a liver transplant, and Dante and Sam offered to get tested as well as Rocco. Laura admitted she had no idea where Lucky might be but would have Nikolas tested as he was a match when Lulu was suffering from anemia. After visiting Lulu, Tracy and Dante had a tense conversation about their relationships with her. Laura visited Nikolas in Flatland Prison, but unfortunately, the lab tech reported that his liver functionality wasn’t what Lulu needed. Nik reminded his mother that Lucky was still out there and urged her to find him. After hearing from Robert that Lucky was last seen in Africa rescuing doctors in dangerous situations, she went to see Brennan to get the WSB’s help bringing him home. Tracy offered Laura financial help finding Lucky and when Brennan called with a location, Tracy wanted to hire mercenaries to get Lucky but Laura insisted on going herself.

Brennan Pursued Jason

Brennan used Carly to lure Jason to his office where the WSB director tried to enlist Jason to work as an off-the-books operative for the agency. Jason flatly refused. When Carly filled Anna in on Brennan’s actions, Anna suspected he wanted to use Jason and take credit for his actions, but promised to find out what he was up to. Anna asked Robert to use his contacts to find Valentin, claiming it was because Laura wanted to locate Charlotte. He was reluctant but agreed to make some calls. When Anna found out from Tracy about Lulu’s medical condition, she questioned Portia if a minor could donate liver tissue. Told that it was possible, Anna went to Brennan to find out where Valentin was so Charlotte could come home and save her mother.

Willow and Drew Gave in to Passion!

After a political rally, Drew was stunned to learn that Senator McConkey had passed away. As Portia realized this could mean Drew would likely ask Curtis to run Aurora for him while he headed to Washington, Drew went back to his office with Willow. He wasn’t in the mood to attend the big Quartermaine family dinner, so Willow offered to stay with him, not wanting to leave him alone in this state. After Drew opened up about never having a father figure in his life, Willow comforted him and they once again gave into their feelings and kissed passionately.

Elsewhere in Port Charles…

Still stinging from the Home & Heart caller who complained about her accent, Lois considered trying to sound more sophisticated and called a dialect coach. Brook Lynn and Chase assured Violet that they enjoyed having her at the Q’s while her father was in recovery and she made things awkward when she asked the couple when they were having a baby. Olivia offered Dante a shoulder to lean on and assured him he never let Lulu down. When Carly tried to offer her help, though, Dante snapped at her, reminding her of the time he paid Brook Lynn to come between him and Lulu. Carly apologized to Brook Lynn and told Dante she didn’t want to fight. At the hospital for blood tests ordered by Scott, Heather was worried when Elizabeth told her the attorney was missing. Portia took over and after drawing Heather’s blood, was angry to find that Ric was taking over Heather’s case in Scott’s absence. She later told Curtis she was concerned because Ric was a good lawyer and often won.
