However, Sam is as astute as ever, and she has already surmised that FBI Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) was murdered by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
The mob boss’s nerves were obviously rattled when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) warned his dad Sam was barking up that tree. Sam doesn’t need to be puffing smoke near him.
Sonny believes he can clear Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) of any wrongdoing without putting himself in the wrong. There is only one issue. He won’t have his way with at least two of the Davis girls. In what way will he handle that?

Leave it to the resident private investigator to be bent on getting to the bottom of whodunnit. Sam isn’t interested in waiting for the police to figure it out.
She knows she can get an inside track on Sonny the night of Jagger’s murder, and in ways that bend the rules just enough — ways the PCPD just can’t.
While Michael tried his best to convince her the ideal approach was to focus on exonerating Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) and Alexis, versus focusing on who the real murderer is, he wasn’t successful. Sam knows Michael is hiding something and she’ll do whatever she has to just to get her mom out of jail.
GH Spoilers Leak Spinelli Won’t Be Able to Stem This Bleed
Sam might think she can rely on Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) in this situation to help her out, but it’s going to be a tall order. Let’s not forget that Spinelli is a bit beholden to the crime lords in Port Charles.
Ever since they first embraced his skill set, he has loved being a part of that inner circle, as dangerous as it is — and as timid as he is. Spinelli is far more of a scaredy cat than Sam, and sometimes that hinders their ability to work together.
But this time around, loyalties will be tested when Sam asks Spinelli to help her clear her mom’s name even if it means ruining Sonny’s. We’re going to go out on a limb and say he won’t do it.
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Keeps Taking Matters Into His Own Hands
Some fans were surprised to see Sonny so boldly shoot Jagger in cold blood. Why didn’t he send one of his many henchmen to do it? Why risk being caught having killed a federal agent? It was personal.
He wanted to be the one to pull the trigger on this guy who came after him, as though he was the first. But with Sam, one might argue it would be even more personal.
He can’t very well ask Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to kill his ex-wife, the mother of his child. Of course, Sam was also the mother of Sonny’s child, though baby Lila Morgan was born sleeping.
We already know Sam is getting killed off this fall. But will her blood be on Sonny’s hands as he sets out to keep himself safe from going down for Jagger’s murder? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
