General Hospital spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is still grappling with intense grief following the loss of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and it’s clear that this emotional turmoil will continue for quite some time.
Only recently, Dante was planning a future with Sam, never imagining that their time together would be cut short so abruptly. Moving on without her will be an incredibly difficult journey, but for the sake of their children, he knows he must try. It’s what Sam would have wanted for him.
However, Dante is human, and he has to process his grief in his own way, at his own pace. So when he directs his anger at those closest to Sam over her death, will they be able to understand his pain, or will it drive an even deeper wedge in their already fractured family?
General Hospital Spoilers — Dante Dials In
Did anyone else notice how distant and cold Dante’s situation felt? Sure, everything happened so suddenly, but it’s hard to ignore how little priority Dante seemed to have in Sam’s final moments.
He was away from the hospital, sharing a meal with his son, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Francis Carr), and talking about their upcoming wedding with Sam. Meanwhile, as doctors desperately worked to revive Sam with CPR and chest compressions for thirty minutes, it didn’t occur to anyone to call Dante.
When the worst news came—that Sam was dead—it wasn’t even delivered to him directly. He overheard the tragic announcement, almost as if he were a stranger eavesdropping on a conversation he wasn’t meant to hear. As the weight of his grief sets in, it’s clear that his anger about how he was treated in that moment is just as powerful.
GH Spoilers Tease Kristina is Already Furious
Lashing out at Alexis and Jason Morgan (Steve Morgan), the only two people who were present when Sam passed, isn’t likely to help Dante in any meaningful way.
The Davis girls have always had strong feelings about Stone Cold, but deep down, they all know how much he cared for Sam—and how much she loved him in return. Jason, of course, will take Dante’s anger in stride, understanding the grief he’s going through. But Alexis might not be as calm in handling the situation.
Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi), in particular, is likely to have a strong reaction. As the family’s protector, she’s about to step into a more assertive big sister role, and Dante’s outbursts may not sit well with her.
General Hospital Spoilers — Alexis is Tapped Out
Alexis is barely holding it together as she faces the devastating loss of her first child. With her grief consuming her, she doesn’t have the energy or emotional strength to engage in battles with anyone, especially not Dante.
Meanwhile, the tension between her remaining children only intensifies as they each navigate the shared loss of the baby. Both struggling with their grief in different ways, they end up at odds, unable to find common ground.
While Dante’s anger is understandable, Alexis doesn’t have the capacity to be his emotional punching bag. Will his outbursts push her to the brink, forcing her to seek solace in old habits at a bar, or can she keep it together for the sake of those around her?
As his anger mounts, Dante may start to blame himself even more, especially if his actions cause further strain on Sam’s family. Can he find a way to deal with his grief without alienating those who are left?
