General Hospital spoilers reveal that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) has finally returned to Port Charles after spending several years away grappling with immense pain. He was previously married to Brad Cooper (Perry Shen), and the couple had planned to adopt a baby.
However, everything changed on the night the baby arrived. While Lucas was still at work, Brad was home when he discovered that the baby had died. This led to a breakdown for Brad, especially when Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) appeared with a disastrous plan.
General Hospital Spoilers – Brad Cooper was involved in a baby swap
Nelle persuaded Brad to switch babies with her after she gave birth to Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) child. Seeking revenge on Michael, Nelle suggested that Brad take the deceased baby and give her son to him instead. As a result, Brad and Lucas ended up raising Michael’s baby for over a year.
However, the truth eventually surfaced, forcing Lucas to return Michael’s son to him. Following this revelation, Lucas ended his relationship with Brad, who subsequently spent several months in prison. A few months later, Lucas left town for an extended period. He made a brief return earlier this year for Bobbie Spencer’s (Jaclyn Zeman) funeral, but that was his only visit until his recent comeback.
GH Spoilers – Lucas Jones is back
Lucas is the biological son of Julian Jerome (most recently portrayed by William DeVry), a notorious mobster with connections to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Julian became so entangled with Cyrus that he was forced to personally deliver the bomb that destroyed the Floating Rib, which ultimately left Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) in a coma.
Eventually, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) confronted Julian, leading to Sonny shooting him, which was believed to be fatal. While Lucas and Julian had a strained relationship, they also shared some positive memories together.
General Hospital Spoilers – Lucas Jones may want revenge on Sonny Corinthos
Lucas has expressed interest in the possibility that Sonny and his sister Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may have reconciled. He has made it clear that he disapproves of Carly getting back together with Sonny.
However, this disapproval might stem from a desire for revenge against Sonny. Even though Lucas wasn’t particularly close with Julian, he still cared for his father and could find himself embracing some of Julian’s darker tendencies.
What do you think?
Has Lucas changed during his time away? Is he seeking revenge against Sonny for Julian’s death? Just how much has he adopted Julian’s traits? Anything can happen in Port Charles, so be sure to tune in to General Hospital airing weekdays on ABC.
