Spoilers for General Hospital flow When Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) approached Ava Jerome (Maura West) in her gallery this past week, attempting to convince her to accompany him for her own safety, it seems like he was speaking the truth.
He believes that FBI Special Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) is after Sonny and that he intends to use Ava to do this. The issue is that Ava is aware of Jagger as well.
Although she isn’t entirely at ease in their alliance, she feels a little safer with the FBI agent than if she were to go rogue and be with a mob boss who despises her.
But Sonny’s bigger problem won’t be that he can’t protect Ava — nor that he can’t protect himself from her, but that he can’t prevent Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) from turning on him for trying to keep Ava safe.
General Hospital Spoilers — It’s Not That Personal
Sonny may not have any true interest in seeing to it that his daughter, Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola), loses her mother, but that doesn’t mean he thinks the woman is a saint.
It also doesn’t mean he doesn’t think she bears some responsibility in what happened to baby Irene Marie Davis Ashford. Sonny isn’t taking sides, but he has to look out for himself, too.
Jagger is bent on taking him down, and he’s not going to let him use Ava to do it. If that means aligning himself with Ava for now, so be it.
GH Spoilers Spill Kristina Sees Red
Learning that her father offered to abscond away with Ava to his island or some other remote location just to protect her is going to twist the knife Kristina feels is already in her back because her dad hasn’t followed through on her request to kill Ava.
She felt certain after their recent falling out that her letting him back into her life would earn her some kind of brownie points. Here she is going through the most wicked pain of her life, and her dad can’t be bothered to kill just one person for her?
That’s the way she’ll likely see it. Finding out that he’s going out of his way to protect the woman she wants dead may be the nail in this father-daughter relationship’s coffin.
General Hospital Spoilers — Can This End Well?
Is there any chance that Kristina and Sonny will come through this grief and out the other side with their relationship intact? It’s not looking like it.
In fact, it seems as though Kristina may be intent on destroying relationships all around her as she moves through this trying time.
If Kristina feels she can’t rely on her dad to do the dirty work he’s very accustomed to doing, will she try to get someone else to do it for her — say Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)?
That’s obviously not going to go over well, and it may leave Kristina feeling as though she has few options and must rely on herself to get justice for baby Irene. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
