Fans should brace themselves for another temporary recast of Michael on General Hospital, but there’s good news: it’s just for one episode, and the actor stepping in is quite familiar!
According to Soap Opera Digest, the role of Michael will be temporarily filled during the week of October 28 due to a scheduling conflict. Robert Adamson will reprise the role, taking over from the regular actor Chad Duell during his absence.
Adamson, who is best known for his portrayal of Noah on The Young and the Restless, has previously stepped in for Duell. His first stint was in June 2022, attributed to a COVID-related issue. He also filled in for additional episodes in August, following Duell’s hospitalization due to acute myocarditis, a condition stemming from long-term COVID effects. Fortunately, this current recast isn’t due to any medical concerns, but rather a scheduling conflict.
With Willow anxious that Michael might discover her secret kisses with Drew, it’s clear that the storyline couldn’t be delayed, necessitating Adamson’s return to ensure continuity in the drama.
Duell is expected to return soon, which is great news considering the precarious state of Michael and Willow’s marriage. Stay tuned to see how the plot unfolds!
