General Hospital stars fired for mask mandate non-compliance

Fans of General Hospital were dealt a one-two blow in November when two long-serving performers were dismissed from the show. Furthermore, CBS fired Y&R star Richard Burgi in January 2022 for COVID-related concerns. The actor tested positive for COVID around the holidays and was quarantined for five days, as recommended by the CDC. According to NBC News, the network imposed a 10-day quarantine.

Burgi was fired for “inadvertently” violating the show’s Covid protocols.

Ingo Rademacher files lawsuit against the network

Both Burton and Rademacher sought religious exemptions from the vaccine obligation, which ABC denied. As a result, Ingo Rademacher filed a lawsuit alleging religious discrimination on the part of the network.
