Carly Corinthos was the last one to see Nelle Benson alive, and she will be asked about her death again on Monday at the General Hospital. Diane Miller, her lawyer, will be with her this time, as she is forced to defend herself.
The previews revealed that Carly sits across from what looks like Detective Chase in the interrogation room at the PCPD. As she assures him that she stands by her sworn declaration that she gave the night Nelle vanished, she is not happy. She wasn’t saying the whole thing, of course. Jax persuaded her that it would be the best choice for her to lie about what actually happened and she went along with it. Since then, Jason has taken on the tasks of keeping her tale straight and making sure she doesn’t alter it. As General Hospital spoilers from SheKnows Soaps have suggested, Carly will keep trying to find a resolution.
Jason told his BFF that it was nice for Nelle to be gone because she would never hurt anyone else. Carly also thinks, though, that she should have done more to save her right before she reportedly fell to her death.
Fans of the General Hospital aren’t persuaded Nelle really is gone. It seems Carly’s problems may come back in more ways than one to haunt her. Halloween is coming up and this will be the best time for Nelle to make her way back to Port Charles to get all the bad stuff that happened in her life and with the woman she hates for.
Carly and Nina are going to have words later in the week. The funeral service which Nina is preparing for Nelle could have something to do with it. She feels terrible that she wasn’t able to help her get back on track with her life. Since, one way or the other, Julian did not care if his wife had a proper burial, Nina stepped up to do it. The two women might fight over it.
Last month, Nelle’s fate was revealed when Chase told Sonny, Carly, and Jason that the body of Nelle had been found. They all looked happy that for good she was finally out of their lives, but that left Carly pretty rattled about the whole ordeal. Ever since she has suffered.
Monday’s General Hospital will announce whether, after she is questioned, Carly will be held at the PCPD. Eventually, there might be proof that will put her in great trouble, especially if they find out she’s not telling them all that happened that night in the woods.
