Remi’s betrayal has emotional consequences.
Home and Away ends one of the show’s key relationships next week as Remi Carter gets dumped by Bree Cameron.
The couple go their separate ways in controversial circumstances, as Remi confesses that he’s cheated on Bree with newcomer Avalon Bracken.
The former Lyrik guitarist has been on a downward spiral for a while now – and this week’s Channel 5 episodes see him cross the line as he gives into temptation with Avalon.
In follow-on scenes next week, Remi is horrified as he wakes up in bed next to Avalon. His heart sinks, as he realises that he’s just blown up his relationship with Bree for a cheap thrill.
“There’s little chance of keeping this betrayal a secret – Eden and Sonny soon come banging on the door and Avalon brazenly opens it!” our Home and Away source explains.
“Remi is half-dressed and the guilt is written all over his face, so Eden and Sonny can’t believe what they’ve uncovered.”
Taking control, Remi’s friends step in to drag him home. Eden, who’s always had strong feelings over infidelity in relationships, is furious with her best pal for treating Bree so badly.
Sonny is keen to take a softer approach, so he encourages Eden to back down and tries to speak with Remi one-on-one.

Taking a breather outside, Eden receives a call from Bree, who’s at work but worried about her boyfriend’s disappearing act.
Eden hates herself as she lies for Remi, claiming that he was recording music with Avalon and lost track of time. She then tells her fiancé Cash Newman the truth about what’s going on, explaining that she kept quiet so that Remi could break the crushing news to Bree himself.
“Cash supports Eden for giving Remi the chance to come clean with Bree,” our insider adds. “He’s shocked that Remi cheated, and even more surprised when Eden reveals that her friend has been taking drugs.
“Eden admits that she’s feeling lost, as Kirby has just left the Bay and the honourable version of Remi she once knew seems to be gone too. Cash seems to be the main source of support that Eden has left.”
Later, Remi faces up to his mistakes as he heads off to see Bree.
Deciding to take the direct approach, he confesses that he slept with Avalon but has no feelings for her.
The shamed musician insists that his night with Avalon meant nothing to him, but he’s unable to provide a decent explanation when a devastated Bree asks why he did this.
Refusing to be treated like a fool, Bree kicks Remi out. When Bree then finds out about her other half’s drug use, it solidifies an emotional decision that will change her life forever – she simply can’t forgive him this time and their relationship is over for good…
