Another day, another drama, and another scammer… Home and Away fans are getting fed up with the dark storylines in the Bay.
After a turbulent few weeks that involved losing a fan-favourite character, a surprise pregnancy, and the introduction of a new wild child, Home and Away fans are slowly tuning out of the show again, complaining that the current storylines aren’t holding their interest.
If it didn’t seem that long ago that Summer Bay was being scammed by Bronte, then the fact of the matter is… well, it wasn’t really that long ago. So now that newcomer Claudia (Rachael Carpani) has arrived in the Bay with a broken arm and an accusation against Justin’s mechanic business, fans are a little wary that the show is going Belle Gibson 2.0.
Is Justin being scammed or is there more to the story?
ICYMI, the basic premise of what’s happened here is that the mysterious Claudia has accused Justin (and Theo, who was the one who serviced her car) of being implicated in her accident when the brakes failed and she (allegedly) crashed her car.
Though Justin has offered her compensation including free car repairs, at some stage Claudia also threatened to sue him after Bree made her go back to hospital for more tests.
While fans are convinced Claudia is a con, they’re also theorising other reasons as to why she’s trying to get free car repairs and money other than just being your usual run-of-the-mill scammer.
With another man in hospital after being involved in a “low motor speed vehicle accident” fans are speculating that Claudia could be involved in a domestic violence situation.
“This chick with broken arm already had injuries,” one person put forth in a Home and Away fan group. “I think she is a con.”
“This lady with the broken arm is being beaten up by her husband,” someone else speculated. “He probably also cut the brake lines. This person reminds Bree of her old life.”
Regardless of the reason of Claudia’s injuries and what’s really going on, Home and Away fans are still fed up with the ‘dark’ storyline and the forced drama of it, especially now that it involves Justin not being fully honest with Leah.
“Seriously, Justin going to chauffeur Claudia around, what a ridiculous storyline,” one person said. “Justin is a fool. That’s why you have insurance,” another pointed out. “I think Justin is getting himself into some kind of trouble with that woman,” one worried fan said.
“Omg they took forever to get married. Don’t tell me he’s going to cheat,” someone else ranted.

If it wasn’t depressing enough that Felicity Newman died and she was the only one who had a smile that beamed light onto all the dark places of the Bay, things are falling apart as her brother Cash tries to stick his nose into her and Mac’s business at Salt, as well as implode his relationship with ex-fiancée Eden.

With Cash and Eden’s fragile relationship hanging by a thread as Eden keeps fighting for her softboi despite him being the world’s biggest arsehole to her, some fans have gotten so fed up with the drama that they’re temporarily switching off.
“I’ve stopped watching at the moment,” one (former) fan said. “I don’t like the storyline, with Cash and Eden and now Claudia story, I’m going to have a break for a while.”
“It’s starting to be crap, unbelievable, the stories are all over the place,” another disgruntled person said.
“I love this show and I can’t turn away because I have no life, also Cash, I’m single,” I commented in my head.
