Aussie actress Rachael Carpani has officially arrived in Summer Bay and is set to cause a stir with her ‘villain’ arc.
Former McLeod’s Daughters star Rachael Carpani has landed in Summer Bay as mysterious new local Claudia, who is an unhappy customer of Justin Morgan’s after she crashed her car after Theo serviced it. In some ways, this could make sense as the mechanic shop hasn’t featured in the show in quite some time, so have the boys even been working? Hard to say.
But the car accident is not without its mysterious elements of course — just as Claudia tries to get some sort of compensation from Justin, there’s also a mystery man laying in a Northern Districts hospital bed after being involved in a “low motor speed vehicle vs. pedestrian” accident.
Rachael Carpani lands in Summer Bay: ‘A bit of a villain’
Rachael previously spoke to 7News about her character, saying she was here to disrupt the Bay. “She’s introduced in a negative way,” Rachael said. “She comes blasting in with a bit of an attitude, but as you would if your brakes failed and you ended up with a broken arm. She’s a bit of a villain and very easy to judge, but I think this will be a good exercise in playing a very flawed human being.”
Home and Away fans’ compelling theory on Claudia’s arrival
With most people arriving in Summer Bay with some sort of secret, Home and Awayfans have already put on their detective hats to figure out what’s really going on with Claudia and if her car accident was actually Theo’s fault.
While Justin has already offered all the mechanical repairs on the car being free, things took a turn after Bree called Claudia back into hospital to reassess her, with a confused Claudia telling Justin she could sue him for everything he has if her injuries are any worse.
However, fans aren’t convinced things are as they appear, especially with the random mysterious man also in hospital following a car accident.
“This chick with broken arm already had injuries,” one person put forth in a Home and Away fan group. “I think she is a con.”
This lady with the broken arm is being beaten up by her husband,” someone else speculated. He probably also cut the brake lines. This person reminds Bree of her old life.”
“Domestic violence,” another agreed. “Bree knows the signs. Is that the husband in hospital from car accident too?”
“I was thinking DV too and maybe she needs money to get away?” someone else commented.
Other fans are saying Bree’s guilt over Flick is making her paranoid at work
Other fans aren’t so sure on the theory and are saying that Bree’s guilt over not being able to save Felicity Newman is eating away at her. Bree called Claudia back in for another assessment after noticing her rub her neck at Salt the night before, because maybe Bree thinks everything leads to a brain aneurysm now.
“I reckon Bree is just being very thorough with this person as she feels a bit guilty that she didn’t save Felicity,” one fan said.
“At first I thought she thinks the chick is lying about her injuries, but towards the end it’s because she’s scared she wasn’t thorough enough and she still blames herself for Flick’s death,” someone else agreed.
