In Australia, Neighbours has already shown its final episode before it airs in the UK on Channel 5 tonight (Friday, July 29).
The storied soap opera has ended its 37-year run with a spectacular closing episode that featured the return of several well-known actors, including Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue.
But Home and Away has paid respect to another Australian soap opera, demonstrating that they are truly good neighbours.
The soap tweeted: “Hats off to the amazing cast and crew at Ramsay Street for an epic 37 years. @neighbours will forever be an iconic part of Australian television history.
“From everyone here in the Bay, massive respect and admiration for you all.”
The post was then shared by the official Neighbours account, which wrote: “Big love to Summer Bay.”
“A huge shoutout to all the #Neighbours cast and crew,” wrote Lynne McGranger, who portrays Irene Roberts on the Home and Away television show, in a tribute post on Twitter. Present and past. Thanks for the memories and chookas for the future.
“I’m now in the UK, so I’ll miss (or have missed) the conclusion, but I’ll make sure to see it when I get back. The greatest love from a fellow fan of #AussieSoap.

For the live show, cast members Ryan Moloney, Jackie Woodburne, Alan Fletcher, and April Rose Pengilly have already been revealed, and more will follow soon.
