A new trailer for a future plot between Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams) and Mia Anderson has been released by Home and Away (Anna Samson).
The new trailer shows Mia walking into the hospital in her wedding dress, with text overlaying it to say: “A wedding like no other.”
The couple get married in a hospital, with Ari saying: “With this ring, I marry you. Remember this moment, forget everything that’s happened before and everything that’s about to happen. Now, this is all that matters.”
Mia speaks over the top of the trailer to say that she loves Ari and will “always” love him.
This follows the show’s confirmation that Ari is terminally ill, which he received this week.
Ari was hurried to the hospital after experiencing abdominal discomfort and nausea, and doctors discovered that he had appendix cancer.
Ari was diagnosed after being arrested for falsely confessing to the murder of Matthew Montgomery in order to protect Mia and her daughter Chloe (Sam Barrett), both of whom were involved in the showdown that led to Matthew’s death.
Dr. Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) indicated that there wasn’t much they could do for Ari except perform a lengthy surgery that would only prolong his life, not save him.
Ari decided against surgery, concluding that it would be preferable to die on his own terms than to spend the rest of his life in prison for Matthew’s death.
As a result, Mia and Ari have decided to marry before he passes away, in a sorrowful ceremony that will definitely be bittersweet for the characters from Home and Away.
Kipa-Williams’ exit from the program has been rumored for months, however, the show has yet to announce his departure from these sequences.
Home and Away fans will see these scenes air in Australia next week.
