Home and Away Spoilers – Cash and Alf clash over Marilyn’s exit

Marilyn (Emily Symonsloved )’s ones have been frantically trying to find her since she disappeared from Summer Bay last week, seemingly never to be seen again.

Marilyn left a note for Alf explaining that she didn’t deserve them as friends and apologizing for the trouble she had caused after the dramatic showdown with long-lost daughter Heather (Sofia Nolan), which saw Leah (Ada Nicodemou), Alf (Ray Meagher), Roo (Georgie Parker), and Irene (Lynne McGranger) lured to a country mansion, drugged, and tied up.

If Marilyn’s remorse for lying to everyone of her friends (with the exception of Leah) wasn’t enough,

Alf’s reaction to the medicine Heather gave them all, which put him in the hospital due to his heart problem, made her feel even worse.

He was devastated to come home and discover Marilyn’s letter after having a visit

from her while he was hospitalized.

Ray told TV Week, “It’s heartbreaking for Alf that Marilyn feels so horrible about this whole affair that she has to leave the Bay. He says, “She’s been through hell with this daughter [Heather]; he can’t believe she’s gone and he can’t assist her.”

When Irene and John (Shane Withington) were unable to contact anyone who might have seen Marilyn, they decided to go to the police station in the hopes of filing a missing person report.

Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) refused, but he agreed to make some informal inquiries since he needed to speak with her directly to get her statement.

Marilyn ultimately called Cash, but even though she wanted it to be known that she was safe, she made it clear that she didn’t want any contact and didn’t want Cash to reveal where she was staying.

Alf wasn’t delighted to hear the news, which was left to John to deliver.

This week, Alf confronts Cash about his secrecy because he’s upset that he’s standing in the way of him and his close friend.

It’s Marilyn, not Cash revealing the location of the crown jewels or saying, “I know where the body is concealed and I’m not going to tell you.” Ray went on.

Alf regards Cash as a friend, and Cash is aware of the close-knit nature of the Summer Bay neighborhood, so the idea that he would keep Marilyn’s location a secret enrages him.

Alf’s heart issue resurfaces as he starts to lash out at Cash, causing him to sit down and take a breath.

Roo and Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) understand that yelling at Cash won’t get him to talk. Cash eventually caves in when they politely request assistance from him and provides them just one piece of information: Marilyn is in the city helping out at a youth shelter.

When the two find Marilyn, it’s obvious that she wants to atone for her previous transgressions. By consenting to give Heather to the Frazers 27 years prior, she let Heather down, and Marilyn was heartbroken when she had to break the news to her daughter that she couldn’t be in her life following the attack on her friends.

So, even though leaving the bay was a difficult choice, helping underprivileged kids at the shelter is how she’s attempting to make up for her mistakes from the past.

All of her loved ones, who are eager to assist her, are back in the bay, as Roo and Nik quickly point out. Surely being surrounded by complete strangers prevents her from finding true peace?

Will Marilyn eventually decide to go back home?

In another part of Summer Bay, Flick is hopeful that her brother Cash and best friend Eden (Stephanie Panozzo), who she threw together to help plan her wedding, can work out their problems.

Following their casual hookups, Eden acknowledged that she was falling for Cash, which caused tension between the two. Cash let Eden know that he didn’t share her sentiments and that they should cease seeing each other.

Eden later requested Cash to leave when she found his attempts at small chat to be too much for her.

Flick, though, is eager for the pair to get together after getting over her first astonishment over her bestie and brother hooking up.

Cash, however, is once again keeping his composure. Eden makes an effort to maintain composure, so she is surprised when Cash later tells her that their friendship has ended.

Stephanie said to Yahoo Lifestyle, “Eden is genuinely wounded by this.” While [Felicity’s] wedding was being planned, she “truly tried to be friendly, but when Cash didn’t even want to be friends it did break her heart a little bit.”

Also this week, Ziggy’s (Sophie Dillman) decision to accept a new position at the garage comes back to get her as she collapses in agony at work.

Although Ziggy first withheld her pregnancy from her boss Justin (James Stewart), waiting until she was in her second trimester meant she had no justification for declining the promotion she had been offered.

Thankfully, there are no significant injuries, but Justin is furious to see that the garage was abruptly locked up.

Ziggy believes that she forgot to open up because she didn’t want Justin to think that being pregnant was preventing her from doing something. That doesn’t give Justin much comfort, though; did he truly make the correct choice in elevating her?

He comes up with a compromise, but it only makes Ziggy feel offended and damages her pride. Will she ever be able to acknowledge her difficulties?
