At Summer Bay House, Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher) and his daughter, Roo, are still at odds (Georgie Parker).
Ryder Jackson (Lukas Radovich), Alf’s grandson, is caught in the middle.
After all, when Alf argued with Justin Morgan (James Stewart) and Theo Poulos (Matt Evans) over the dangerous “buried alive” video prank, which nearly killed Ryder, he thought he was acting in Ryder’s best interests.
However, with Theo’s imminent court date approaching, Justin is hopeful that Alf would drop the charges and spare Theo from a criminal record.
Ryder is relieved to be able to leave to Salt and avoid any further arguments.
However, tragedy strikes when Ryder is locked in the Salt supply cupboard by accident and begins to experience another panic attack…
Now that Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) has returned from his camping trip, Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) is excited to get back on track with him.
Tane chooses to formalize their relationship by inviting Felicity to a family dinner at the Parata home.
Felicity has never been invited to dinner with a boyfriend’s family before, so this is a first for her.
But, with all of the recent drama in the Parata household, will the family meal be a hit… or a miss?
