Will they be stopped in time?
Home and Away is set to introduce two new villains whose arrival will leave Ziggy Astoni and Mackenzie Booth in grave danger.
While on holiday in North Queensland, Levi Fowler has been struggling to gain favour with Mackenzie’s brother Dean Thompson. Dean has been critical of Levi pursuing his sister when he was a married man.
In upcoming episodes, the couple try to build bridges with Dean and Ziggy by taking a road trip together. However, things go wrong when the women are kidnapped by two escaped prisoners and forced to drive off in Dean’s car.
Ziggy reluctantly becomes the getaway driver as one of the prisoners holds a knife to Mackenzie’s throat. Having witnessed them speed off, Dean and Levi frantically check for mobile reception, or a vehicle to go after them.
Levi is conflicted when Dean breaks into and hotwires a car, but he decides to jump in so they can chase the dangerous criminals. They double back when faced with a police blockade, with the authorities searching for two dodgy guys in a stolen car – and Dean and Levi now fit that description.
The captors make Ziggy and Mackenzie speed towards the border, but Ziggy stalls, claiming she has morning sickness. Mackenzie learns that Ziggy is genuinely pregnant and supports her.
The women agree to keep delaying as much as they can, to help Dean and Levi catch up. But the prisoners disagree on the fate of their hostages and one abandons the car, hurting himself in the process.
Dean and Levi discover the prisoner and hound him for information on Mackenzie and Ziggy. The villain admits his accomplice doesn’t plan on letting them live.
They force him to guide them toward the border, and much to Levi’s dismay, lock the prisoner into their car boot. Later, Dean spots his abandoned car among the cane fields and they approach with caution, hoping to find their loved ones alive.
The prisoner has poured petrol across the cane fields, planning to set it on fire.
Dean knocks the criminal out with a headbutt – but will Dean and Levi be able to save Mackenzie and Ziggy?
