Emily Symons, star of Home and Away, has given Queen Elizabeth II a heartfelt homage.
The late queen was met by the 53-year-old during the Queen’s 2002 Golden Jubilee tour of the United Kingdom.
Emily claimed it was a day she will never forget in a flashback Instagram post from the event.

In the photo, Emily is pictured shaking hands with a beaming Queen Elizabeth II while wearing a chic black outfit.
Sheree Murphy, Mark Charnock, and Elizabeth Estensen are all shown in the snap posing alongside Emily.
When Emily made an appearance on the long-running British soap Emmerdale from 2001 and 2008, all three co-starred with the Australian favorite.
Emily said in the caption that she and her son Henry had seen the Queen’s funeral on television.

During the farewell, the six-year-old inquired as to whether his soap star mother had ever met the sovereign.
In her Instagram Stories, Emily reflected on the experience, saying, “It was such a fantastic honor to meet her with my close friends from Emmerdale.”
I’ll never forget her lovely smile on this day. Thank you, Queen Elizabeth.
Henry, six, is Emily and Paul Jackson’s joint child.
The ageless beauty originally gained notoriety in 1989 playing Marilyn Chambers on the television series Home and Away.

Later, Emily moved to the UK to seek a career, where she had an appearance in the popular show Emmerdale.
The well-liked actress returned to Home and Away in 2010.
