Home and Away star Matt Evans has revealed the long-running soap will kill off one of its beloved characters.
The Channel Seven actor, 26, appeared on The Morning Show on Friday to share the plot twist in a very dramatic announcement.
The Voice Australia star remained coy about who exactly will get the cut next week, Matt insisted one unlucky character’s days are numbered in Summer Bay.
Matt gave his ominous warning while staring directly into the camera after breakfast show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies asked about rumours of a character death.
‘All I can say is next week a stranger will come into the Bay and someone will die,’ he told viewers at home.

It’s unclear which character fans will say goodbye to, but with so little clues being drip-fed to viewers at home, it seems anyone could be on the culling list.
It comes just a few days after it was revealed Home and Away is gearing up for a major shake up as new faces join the cast and fan favourites make unexpected exits.
With filming taking place approximately five to six months ahead, eagle-eyed viewers are already getting juicy sneak peeks of the upcoming drama.
Home and Away news page Back to the Bay has shared insights into the iconic soap’s future.
The site reported that newcomers have been spotted on set, while one beloved
ack to the Bay reported that Jacqui Purvis, who has played Felicity Newman for the past three years, was last seen on location in March.
‘I know someone went to Palm Beach today and was told that she’s overseas and not sure if (she’s) coming back, indicating that she’s leaving (or) left the show and no longer filming,’ wrote one fan on the site.
No official confirmation has been made.
Elsewhere, Home and Away recently announced that a new bad boy, played by Joshua Orpin, is heading to the Bay.
The actor told The Daily Telegraph in March that fans should expect his arrival to ruffle some feathers in the seaside community.
‘I can say he is a bit of a bad boy who comes into the show and stirs up some trouble among the Summer Bay locals… he is seemingly one thing on the surface but he has a great depth to him that I’ve had a lot of fun exploring,’ he revealed.
Joshua has a number of credits to his name, including Preacher, Love Me, Upright and the US superhero series Titans.
Elsewhere, Hailey Pinto is expected to take on the role of Abigail Fowler, the sister of Eden Fowler (Stephanie Panozzo) and Levi Fowler (Tristan Gorey).
Eagle-eyed fans have spotted Hailey filming what appeared to be an engagement celebration for Eden and Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright).
The fan page estimates that Hailey’s character will be arriving on screens in the next three months.
Meanwhile, Kiwi actor Aaron Jeffery, 53, is set to join the show as James ‘Jimmy’ Fowler, Eden, Levi, and Abigail’s father.
Aaron has appeared in McLeod’s Daughters, Wentworth, and Water Rats and recently starred alongside Oscar nominee Toni Collette in the Netflix drama Pieces of Her.
