Will he really go?
On UK television the next week, Home and Away legend Alf Stewart ponders his future in Summer Bay.
Alf confides in his loved ones and close friends after learning some unexpected information from his wife Martha.
Alf appears to be in a bad mood in upcoming Channel 5 scenes after his most recent vacation to Merimbula with Martha.
Roo calls Martha, who is still away from the Bay, in an attempt to understand why Alf is so sad.
When Martha tells Roo that she has made the decision to live in Merimbula permanently, Roo is horrified. Not only does this spell doom for their own relationship, but it also raises doubts about Alf’s future.
Alf responds poorly and storms off when Roo tries to find out what Alf’s goals are.
Then, in an effort to divert his attention from the important decision he must make, Alf begins to give his task his whole concentration.
Alf receives criticism from Roo for putting off making such a crucial life decision. She can’t help but feel some responsibility for finding a solution to her parent’s issues.
Alf receives a different treatment from Justin Morgan, who offers him some space at his house to get away from Roo’s relentless questioning.
Alf confides in Justin over a beer, revealing that he worries he might have to leave the Bay in the wake of Martha’s choice.
Although Justin acknowledges that Martha will benefit from this decision, he wonders if Alf will actually benefit as well. Alf is adamant that if Merimbula makes Martha happy, then he should be there as well.
Later, Alf faces Roo and announces plans to talk things through with Martha before making a final decision. Will Alf really leave the Bay?
