Tensions reach boiling point.
After losing his cool with newbie Matthew Montgomery, Ari Parata of Home and Away faces blackmail threats on UK television next week.
As Matthew insists on spending time with his daughter Chloe Anderson, who is currently oblivious of his true character, Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) feels powerless.
Ari asks his partner Mia Anderson (Anna Samson) to tell Chloe the truth about her past with Matthew in forthcoming scenes on Channel 5.
Mia refuses to do so because she doesn’t want Chloe (Sam Barrett) to know the horrific realities of her conception.
Ari and Mia are subsequently pushed to breaking point when they discover Matthew waiting to pick up Chloe to spend some time with her on their front yard.
Matthew’s bravado disgusts the couple, so they confront him about his heinous behavior.
Matthew becomes cocky as he maintains that Chloe is his daughter and that Ari has no power to stop him.
Ari loses it by punching Matthew, much to Mia and Chloe’s surprise.
Tane (Ethan Browne), Ari’s brother, gets home and breaks up the fight, but it’s too late, as Matthew warns Ari that he’s made a terrible mistake.
Mia reprimands Ari for acting without thinking, pointing out that he has very likely made things worse.
Meanwhile, while supporting Matthew, Chloe makes an unintentional reference to Ari’s criminal background.
Matthew investigates further and is intrigued to learn that he may be able to have Ari sent back to prison for attacking him.
Mia is warned by Matthew that until she quits interfering in his relationship with Chloe, she will be sent down.
Mia then has to tell Ari that, as a result of his outburst, she must choose between having a connection with Matthew and Chloe or having Ari go to jail.
